Really delicious food and friendly service. Great for families with small children; not too loud, menus they can colour on and crayons. We’ll be back again soon!

First time to try Urban8. Had a few small plates which were all very nice, especially the Goyza which were very light an tasty. Staff were all very friendly. Special shout out to Diego, who looked after us very well on only his third day there! We will be back for more!

Food was v.good, cocktails were great. Not the widest selection of mains for dinner, but what they do, they do well. My friend and I ordered the fish/chips and burger mains, respectively.

My Wife and I had decided to call into Urban8 for a glass of wine while out for a walk over the weekend, we were greeted at the entrance by a young gentleman, when I told him we are only having drinks, he told us "if its only drinks you must seat outside on the picnic benches". The side patio area was completely empty and my wife suffers with a back complaint so a picnic bench was not an option. so we moved on elsewhere, shameful really, as we walked back an hour and a half later and the side patio area was still empty!.

Absolutely scrumptious Avocado Toast! Went there a couple of times and this is hands down the best thing we have tried from the restaurant. Loved it. Irish Breakfast was good, the butter they serve is also amazing. They have different menus for weekends and week days so best check before going!:) (Saturday menu in the pic)

Pig's Ear

23/06/2025: Great restaurant with high quality traditional dishes. Good service and the not very large environment makes it quiet. Large portions. Highly recommended.
10/06/2025: Had a wonderful lunch here overlooking Trinity College. The food was delicious, Irish comfort dishes. The "tongue and cheek" kidney pudding was luscious. The White Pork Chop was juicy. Famine soup w bone marrow toast was yummy. The people were warm and friendly. It was having an amazing lunch in a cozy Irish townhouse on a rainy afternoon.

The Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill

20/06/2025: We went there for dinner. The food is relatively good for a pub. The staff are very friendly. We lost a few stars for the ambiance, as they lure you in with a "Rooftop Bar" sign. However, I don't think of a rooftop bar as something else. Otherwise, the pub is highly recommended.
14/06/2025: We stopped into this pub, for a drink, at the end of our first day/afternoon in Ireland (walking around Dublin) and it was here that I was presented with the BEST Irish coffee that I enjoyed over our entire holiday in Ireland. Louie was our bartender. His service was beyond excellent, which included making us feel so completely welcomed and at home. He gave me a lesson on what a proper Irish coffee is, and I might have experienced one (but only one) close to his level of excellence, but certainly not at his level of excellence. And believe me, I tried one in pretty near ever Irish pub we stopped into for an afternoon refreshment over the entire duration of our 3 weeks in Ireland - my quest was a devoted one indeed. A huge thank you to Louie for his precise, insistent, and most memorable lesson on Irish coffee and for making the best one I have ever tasted. Please also send a message to him - we are the couple that moved on next to a 2-week stay in Tralee. Please let him know that 2 weeks in Tralee was not enough time, we enjoyed every minute of being there!
