This is the place to stay when visiting Lahinch. Less than a 5-minute walk to both the town and Lahinch GC. Onsite restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and dinner, and the staff is marvelous.

Enjoyed the stay here. Clean and great location. Hotel is most suited to local golfers, we were a family with small children. Restaurants staff were nice but service could be slow. Top marks for hospitality/cleaning staff they were really on the ball. Staff at reception were nice also. The free lollies and gold tees were nice touch.

I stayed with my sister recently and it was perfect. The staff are incredibly helpful and it's a lovely homely atmosphere. It's a quiet hotel with no large parties which we really appreciated, saying that there was no issue staying up late at the bar! The manager also kindly offered to take us to the bus stop on leaving. I would highly recommend and it would be my choice when I return.

This hotel will not disappoint, the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had on the island of Ireland. The hotel itself is spotless & the staff are so friendly & efficient. It is a credit to the owner, Michael, who is ever present on the establishment. Dinner is a must have also.

Our group of 21 stayed here for our last 3 nights as part of our southwest golf and sightseeing tour. Although the lodge is small compared to the large hotel we stayed at in Killarney, it was a wonderful stay! The rooms were nicely updated and modern, and the restaurant was phenomenal with Michael’s great menu choices. We also enjoyed spending time in the bar/parlor area watching the US Open.The location is unbeatable as you are just a very short walk to the Lahinch golf course and the pubs and shops. If you’re going to be traveling and staying in Lahinch, I highly recommend the Vaughan Lodge!!

14/12/2025: Its the best bar in town, if you want to meet people and chat like bars were years ago its the place to go, all ages of people chatting with one another, no tvs spoiling the atmosphere.
28/10/2025: Came back to this pub yesterday…Forget my previous review…Its even better than what I originally wrote.If you’re in Clare this is a must,otherwise you have missed out…..Its one of the great Irish pubs that quietly exist and are waiting to be discovered.This is my original review… This pub was recommended to me as having the best pint in Lahinch.It has possibly the best pint of Guinness Ive ever had.The staff are great and the owner is very chatty and friendly.The bar itself is exactly what a bar should be and theres a big beer garden outside for when the sun shines.10/10.Looking forward to returning soon.
