Stopped in Vee Cafe for a quick breakfast/brunch during the half term and it was superb. Despite being absolutely rammed the staff were attentive and speedy in taking our order and answering questions. The food itself took time to arrive, understandably given that every table was full once we sat down. We had the peanut butter porridge, a full breakfast, and a half breakfast all of which were excellent verging on perfect I have to say in all aspects: taste, presentation and value.

My husband and I first visited Vee 13 years ago, and it was absolutely delicious. Now, 13 years later, we came back with our kids for breakfast—and it was just as amazing as we remembered! The staff and the owner are so friendly, and you really feel welcomed with a big heart. I can’t recommend Vee enough. We’ll definitely be back—and hopefully much sooner than another 13 years ;)

Great food and a lovely, cosy atmosphere. The staff are always friendly.. in particular we noticed how one of the waitresses, Katie, was so gentle and patient with her customers…so nice to see!

The atmosphere on a Tuesday mid-day was lovely. You can tell this is a busy but we'll organised restaurant. I was impressed with the cleanliness. The menu and the staff. When u order u get asked for allergens, this is brilliant 👏 The coffee came first. The male staff was a lovely young man and was very polite. Then the food. Served by a beautiful lady who seemed to be the owner. She is chatty and kind and takes pride in her food. It was beautiful and ill come again. Loved the music and environment. Perfect for a solo food date. Ill return.

Called in here today after a funeral, 11 of us hopeful to be seated. Wonderful staff pulled together tables for us and the service and food was outstanding. It was just what we needed. We will definitely be back

27/08/2025: I couldn’t recommend a better restaurant. The atmosphere was superb, along with the service. Not once did we have to call anyone over or struggle to find staff. Staff were extremely attentive and continually checked in. From starter to dessert the food was amazing. Not only does it taste good but the quality is evident throughout. The only thing I regret is sharing my food.

One The Waterfront

02/10/2025: We had our wedding reception at One The Waterfront in September and it was an amazing day for us and all our guests (110 total). From the first day we met Maurice to start planning, he was fantastic and no ask or request was too much trouble for him. He was very accommodating to what we wanted and gave us so much freedom to create our perfect day while also offering his experienced & valued advice along the way. The restaurant was laid out immaculately on the day itself and the food and service from Maurice, Graham and the whole team was second to none. Would highly recommend as a venue for a wedding or for any occasion as the guys know what they are doing and it's hard to find such a scenic space like it anywhere. Thanks again Maurice and all the team at One The Waterfront for creating a day that we'll never forget.
09/09/2025: We recently held a baby shower in One The Waterfront. When I say they exceeded all expectations! Maurice was a gem to deal with from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. In fact, all of the staff that we dealt with were so helpful. But the real star of the show was the food, I can't stress enough how delicious the buffet spread that was supplied to us was. From sliders to salads, every single dish was carefully thought out and beautifully presented. I'll be looking for an excuse to have another event there.
