Veldon's Seafarer in Letterfrack

A lovely pub that does very good food. Mussels and scampi particularly nice, while my husband also enjoyed the wings and the fish and chips. Staff very helpful. A great shout after a big walk

Very busy but the food was excellent. 2 of us shared 3 starters, chowder, mussels and calamari. Calamari portion could have been a little bigger, but all 3 starters tasted great. Nice atmosphere in the pub and for a weekday, it was busy. Pub is in a lovely location in the heart ♥ of connemara with loads of wonderful places nearby to visit eg kylemore Abbey, Cleggan Harbour, omey Island, inagh valley and clifden 14kms away. Also diamond Hill a d connemara national park.

Restaurant but also pub. Nice surprise passing through the area, live music on a Friday, with the locals, good time 👌

Dishes cooked with love and simplicity. If you are in the area it is a perfect place for a comforting and warm break. For the French.... don't trust the outside 😘 you won't regret it.

lovely experience at Veldons for our first time in beautiful Connemara. The food was great. We had never tasted such delicious oysters, as well as a tasty lamb stew. The personnel is awesome and very polite. Location and atmosphere are very traditional, cozy and welcoming. Absolutely recommended if you find yourself in Letterfrack.

Good cuisine, quality products and varied menu

Beautiful day and beautiful meal. Joanne took great care of us. The seafood platter was delicious. The build-your-own sandwich is a great idea and very reasonable. Note: on the second visit, the service (not Joanne) wasn't that great.
