Love this place. A little hidden gem. Cocktails are boozy and delicious. Staff are so helpful and give great recommendations. I’ve been 4 times over the years and not once had a bad experience. Looking forward to my next visit.

A unique cocktail bar crammed with character, you knock on the black door to get in. There's several dimly lit rooms to chill in.. recommend booking before arriving as it a popular spot.
They have a large cocktail menu to choose from however will make most classics if you ask.
We loved it.

A prohibition-era time capsule hidden behind an unmarked door. Mixologists demonstrate molecular gastronomy techniques with pre-1920s equipment. The ice program alone - hand-cut to era-specific sizes for optimal chilling without over-dilution - justifies the pilgrimage.

Many years ago when visiting Dublin we overheard a waiter recommending VCC as an exclusive hidden gem, his diners were suitably impressed and we vowed to visit at some point. Only disappointed that we left it so long.
When in Dublin between Christmas and New Year we managed to make a booking for food and drinks. What a fabulous place, situated in Crown Alley right in the heart of Temple Bar, opposite The Old Storehouse pub, the only evidence is a black door with the letters VCC on, ring the bell, wait to be attended to, climb the stairs and enter the cutest place ever.
Full of comfy chairs, chandeliers, opulent fabrics, you feel as if you have stumbled on to a 1920’s film set.
Our food was good, we ordered charcuterie and cheese boards, thankfully the waitress misheard us (or maybe she just knew best) and we received a full meat board with added cheese for a supplement of £11 as opposed to a full cheese board at £19. It really was plenty for two and very tasty. We returned a couple of nights later just for cocktails, again a fabulous experience.
The service was great, especially from the fabulous mixologist working on the 30/12, great craic and some good local recommendations. The decor and ambiance are stunning. Book in advance, the secret is out and it’s very popular. Highly recommended.
