Final pub before I headed out to the game. Dropped in here for a quick pint. Got a pint of Smithwicks, and sat myself down at the side of the entrance which was well comfy and secluded to the rest of the bar. Near the bar there was a massive screen with the horse racing on, a few punters in the darkly lit bar, relaxed atmosphere and pint was fine. No problems. Pub is run by the Walsh family for six generations and is a cosy little place.

01/10/2023: Customer service doesn't appear to be high on their agenda at all. All young inexperienced people working there and no sign of any management on the ground. After paying for food order and waiting at least 20 minutes, I eventually discovered that they actually forgot to put in the food order!!! And no apology forthcoming either..they actually didn't seem to care how put out I was!! Not good enough when you've hungry kids!!! This is not the first time I've had a similar experience here regarding the staff!

14/01/2024: Went to Baileys Bar this morning with our daughter and two grandchildren for breakfast the two barmen were excellent , had travelled from Tipperary as our grandaugher was getting her communion dress in Athlone .
