Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort in Waterford

I am delighted with the castle. great atmosphere, beautiful history of the castle. It's nice to find the atmosphere of the last century. pleasant atmosphere. The staff is well trained and polite.

My stay at the castle was my favorite part of the entire trip. The ambience was absolutely magical and the staff was immaculate! The bar manager, Cal, was an absolute angel. He made the most delicious drinks, was incredibly attentive, and truly made our stay!

The castle, the grounds and the peacefulness of the whole experience are fantastic and worth a stay. The river walk around the perimeter of the island is fantastic, so be sure to bring appropriate footwear and burn off a few calories so you can indulge. The evening meal in the Munster Room is worth far more than it costs and really was the highlight for us. The food is very rich and certainly not something you would eat every night, but a must if you are treating yourself. Don’t be tempted to skip dessert - the Granny Smith one is ridiculous!! The staff are so polite and friendly, whether the locals or the new local Italians! All go above and beyond to make you feel really welcome. I really would recommend this as an experience that has to be tried!! A few small negatives….. The breakfast was a little poor, perhaps the low numbers staying made it difficult to suit. A false fire alarm the evening we stayed should have been checked before there was another one early in the morning disturbing what was otherwise a deep sleep in the beautiful bed. The room (Hurst) was very warm and the radiator couldn’t be turned off. The bathroom had some strange noise coming from the pipework when the toilet flushed and only one roll of toilet paper was a bit strange. And I do think we should have been told that the golf club was being renovated and no proper lunch option was available, as the bar was packed for Mothers Day.

The waterford castle is a fantastic choice for our recent visit 😍 Atmosphere and food was extremely satisfying and tasty. 😇 The staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful 🥰The location was also perfect, with easy access Amazing location for wedding and photoshoot. Highly recommended 👌

Everything is great. But the hotel is on an island. It takes a little time on the ferry to cross 200 meters 😀 The rooms are good, the kitchen is wonderful - you can cook whatever your heart desires. Warm, spacious. Quiet residential area.

My partner and I planned our destination wedding at Waterford Castle! The team at Waterford was so wonderful to work with, and so accommodating. Gillian is amazing at her job and made our whole day seamless. Everything from the beauty of the Venue to the food was perfect on our day! Everyone at Waterford went above and beyond for us and we truly cannot thank them enough. We would absolutely recommend to everyone!!

A little gem just outside the city.

Beautiful castle grounds however lackluster interior rooms need updating. Mold on shower head and multiple stains on carpet and cheap+threadbare linens beg for improvement. We paid 280 euros with breakfast and feel it was not worth it. Better stay at other prestige castles. Breakfast was typical delicious Irish style.

It was absolutely wonderful from check-in to check-out. The staff was attentive to EVERY detail, and I wish I could have stayed another week. Don't miss out if you have the opportunity to stay there or visit.

We had the most magical wedding in Waterford Castle. Gillian and all of the rest of the staff here are the perfect balance of warm and professional. For two food lovers, the food was out of this world. Our vegan guests also said it was the best vegan food they’ve had! The rooms are sensational. Nothing was an issue, the entire experience was super easy and relaxed. They run Waterford Castle effortlessly.
