Excellent Hotel with a fabulous golf course. Amazing setting for a wedding. Lodges are very spacious for visitors.

What an amazing experience!! I slept in the biggest comfiest bed of my life. The castle and gardens are so beautiful. Shout out to Cal who made our night extra special - I saw him remember drink orders for a full wedding of people! He was kind and classy - thank you Cal!!! Siebert was also a delight and did an awesome job 😊😊

Amazing place we were for a wedding it couldn’t be better place to get married in Ireland. Pity they aren’t pet friend yet.

As an American bride planning a destination wedding, I can say without hesitation that Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort was perfect in every way. From the moment we crossed by the little private ferry onto the 310‑acre island, we felt wrapped in warmth, privacy, and that “pinch‑me” castle magic. Gillian (their wedding coordinator) is a dream partner — calm, kind, lightning‑fast, and endlessly thoughtful. She anticipated needs we didn’t know we had, with the kind of care that lets you actually relax and enjoy your day. It’s easy to see why she’s award‑winning; we felt truly looked after from start to finish. The food was 20/10 — our guests haven’t stopped talking about dinner in the Munster Room, which is an award‑winning, fine‑dining experience (and it absolutely shows). Every course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We’ll be back just to eat here again. A few special shout‑outs: Gillian, you were extraordinary — you made everything smooth, personal, and joyful. Our bartender, Cal, was fabulous — friendly, fun, and on it all night. He was a fan favorite for all of our guests The front desk team set the tone from the moment we arrived; the lovely woman who checked us in had that timeless grace that truly reminded me of Princess Diana. (I hate that I cannot remember her name!) The team even connected us with a wonderful wedding planner, which made long‑distance planning from the States feel easy and stress‑free. We celebrated in beautiful castle spaces and then slipped into the cozy Fitzgerald Bar for late‑night cheers — the atmosphere is pure old‑world charm with a modern, welcoming feel. Our family and friends are already planning return trips (so are we). The exclusive‑use castle setting, the ferry crossing, the intimacy of just 19 rooms in the castle, and the way the staff treats you like family — it all adds up to an experience that’s beyond five stars. It was a beautiful room, when we got there we both got sick. I didn't like the fact you had to get in a ferry to get in and out of the castle. The staff was friendly, helpfull and took care of us while sick.
