Lovely food. We were on a long drive and stopped in carlow for a break and bit of lunch here. Good decision!

A very busy spot but it's worth waiting and squeezing into a seat for the food which is always interesting and rewarding, with excellent coffee. The Tullow version is less busy but just as good.

Waterlilies has the BEST matcha and lemon meringue I've ever had. I work at a cafe where we serve matcha and I will always praise theirs. There is just something so special about it. Definitely made with absolute love. As someone who doesn't care too much for lemon meringue... This is by far the best sweet treat I've ever had. I get a matcha and a lemon meringue every time I go in.. Absolutely amazing

An absolute gem! Food was delicious, best basque cheesecake I've ever tasted! Great selection of food choices. Staff very friendly. I WISH we had one of these in Belfast

Consistently excellent pastries, always a great selection available. Coffee is good too. Pastries are expensive at €4 to €5 a pop, but given the quality, that's just about OK. For lunch the soup is usually very good - and you get some tasty, fresh sourdough or brown bread on the side. Sandwiches are also expensive at around €12 and not as good quality as the pastries in my opinion. Space a bit limited inside but there are tables on the street. Overall a fantastic asset to Carlow town and the pastries are worth travelling for.
