Whiskey Still in Dromineer

2nd time here whilst on holiday. Never disappoints on everything. Food is so tasty and fresh, highly recommend the pork belly. Staff are so friendly, so attentive.

My wife and I visited Dromineer on a boat. We normally cook on board but decided to venture out. Heard great things about The Whiskey Still and boy was it great. Fab food, staff, place and location. Ticks ALL the boxes. Put it on your list. Best. Eamon

The best burger and chips in Ireland

One of the main reasons for our trip to Ireland was to experience an authentic Irish pub, and The Whiskey Still delivered above and beyond. From the moment we stepped in, we felt like we were exactly where we were meant to be. Of course, the Guinness was perfectly poured, and the Irish whiskey selection was top-notch, but what truly stole the show was the seafood chowder. No exaggeration, I’ve tasted seafood soups all around the world, from America to the Far East, and only one other had ever stuck in my mind. But this chowder? Creamy, rich, and unbelievably delicious. Every spoonful felt like a gift from the Irish sea gods. I didn’t want it to end… and after I finished, I even avoided drinking water for a while just to let the taste linger a bit longer! The staff were fantastic, friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel like locals, not visitors, and that made the experience all the more special. The atmosphere was exactly what you hope for in a true Irish pub: cozy, lively, full of character, and buzzing with friendly faces. You get the sense that this is where stories are shared, memories are made, and the heart of the village beats. Thank you, Whiskey Still, for a couple of nights to remember all the time in our memories. Five stars without hesitation. Sláinte, mo chara!

Visited this evening with my family, the food was amazing along with the friendly welcome we received when we arrived and left, it was just lovely. The ladies serving us were all so friendly and helpful to us all. Could not fault one thing from start to finish we had a beautiful meal and a lovely time.
