Whitford House Hotel in Wexford

Excellent service, beautifully prepared seafood dishes, and great value for the quality. We had a fantastic meal at Whitford House Restaurant. The service was genuinely excellent — friendly, attentive, and perfectly paced, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was the real highlight. The Forthside chunky seafood chowder was rich, hearty, and full of flavour, easily one of the best we’ve had. The mushrooms were beautifully cooked, and the monkfish and king prawns on a bed of mash was a standout dish — generous portions, perfectly balanced flavours, and cooked with real skill. The baked haddock with a parmesan crust was another winner, crisp on top and tender underneath. With great service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices for the quality, Whitford House Restaurant is absolutely worth a visit.

Dined out here, could not believe how they managed to fit us in, as it was really busy, but they had a table,and we were well looked after us, we ate in the Bistro bar, food was exceptional, service was excellent, and we had wine and beer, with our meal, we plan on going back before we leave Wexford.👌

Went to celebrate a birthday dinner! The food was incredible as always and the staff are so attentive and professional! We had a man (late 20s, beard, worked behind the bar) as our waiter and honestly he was the best! Thank you

We recently returned from a trip to Ireland that involved staying at five different hotels. The Whitford House was hands down the nicest hotel for a number of reasons. Pulling up, the outside of the hotel was gorgeous with so many flowers blooming. They take great care of their property and it shows. The lobby was warm and inviting. It has a very family friendly atmosphere. The room was clean and spacious. There was a strong smell of bleach in the bathroom, but otherwise it was perfect. There is a playground for kids on the property which was great for our toddler. Perhaps the best part of staying there was the dinner we had in their restaurant. Our waitress, Breda, was phenomenal. The food was a little pricey but worth it, because it was delicious and the portions were generous. Our toddler was welcomed there and Breda was so kind to our little one which we appreciated after a long day. We stayed here before taking the ferry early the next morning. It would have been more convenient if it was closer to the port, but in general this hotel was wonderful. I'd highly recommend it and would stay here again.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was splendid and the service was great. The food was nicely portioned neatly pu on the place and perfectly cooked. We have not been staying at the hotel so I can not comment on that.

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Whitford hotel. Everything was amazing from start to finish. The food here is top class. A big menu with lots of choice, good prices, and served with a smile. Breakfast was made to order and good choices of breakfast items. All staff we met were outstanding doing their jobs and hotel was so busy. Live music in the bar was lovely and added to the atmosphere. Bedroom was fantastic, very comfortable beds, superking size bed, we slept great, even had a balcony overlooking a lovely garden. Everything you need in room with tea/ coffee and biscuits. We used the leisure center and the facilities were spotless. The jacuzzi water was lovely and hot, bliss.A great base to explore the surrounding areas and Johnstown house and garden is less than 10 min away in car, and definitely worth a visit. We highly recommend Whitford house hotel and we will definitely return in future. Thank you all for a lovely weekend.

Popped in for some lunch as we were passing through Rosslare, the food was lovely and the staff were so friendly!
