08/05/2026: A 10-minute drive is apparently a cross-country expedition?!?
Avoid at all costs if you unless you have a penchant for the ridiculous.
I tried to order delivery from this restaurant on a Thursday evening. I live exactly a 10-minute drive away – I know this because I’ve timed it, and anyone with a basic sense of geography would agree that’s hardly extremely remote. Yet the later on the phone they treated my address as if I’d asked them to cater a base camp on the moon.
They refused to take my order until she’d spoken to the delivery driver, leaving me hanging on the phone for more than ten minutes. When they finally called me back, I was told I’d have to pay an €8 “excess delivery charge” – already steep, but I wanted the food, so I agreed. Then came the real insult: a €25 minimum spend on food alone, excluding the delivery fee. My order came to €19.80, a mere €5.20 short. A different, more reasonable-sounding lady on the phone even admitted that would “probably be no problem” – but the moment the manager got on the line, all logic collapsed. She flatly refused to place my order unless I hit that arbitrary €25 food minimum, insisting over and over that it was “because I lived so far away.”
This situation is so nonsensical and frustrating . A 10-minute drive. On a Thursday evening. Isn’t that the whole purpose of the delivery service???? Not a blizzard, not a bank holiday, not a single road closure. And for the privilege of being treated like an inconvenience, they wanted to force me to spend extra money I didn’t want to spend, on top of an inflated delivery surcharge. So the actual minimum cost for a 10-minute delivery would have been €33 – €8 delivery plus €25 food – for what the manager considers a journey so inconvenient for them. It is scandalous.
In what world is a 10-minute drive on a Thursday night “inaccessible”? The manager’s attitude was difficult , inflexible, and utterly detached from reality. I’ve had smoother, cheaper deliveries from restaurants twice the distance that were grateful for the business. This place, by contrast, made it abundantly clear they don’t value customers – they see you as a nuisance unless you’re ordering a banquet apparently. Rather than getting a chance to put money behind the bar of local business I was now forced to line the pockets of MNC dominos.
Disgraceful customer care. A masterclass in how to lose a willing, paying customer over a fiver. I will never attempt to order from here again, and I strongly recommend you avoid this restaurant. Absolutely pathetic.
