10/08/2025: A must visit bar in Ballyvaughan village on the Wild Atlantic Way. Famous for its whiskey but also excellent for cocktails & other drinks. The owner Margaret is a fountain of local information. Chat to the locals here they are very friendly.

26/08/2025: Room was fine, comfortable sleeps. Food was extremely good at breakfast & evening. They have a superb Brazilian chef who is passionate about food quality & preparation. His fish chowder is absolutely the BEST we have tasted ANYWHERE. Evening dining was also of the highest quality. The chef is also a fantastic drummer on his Peruvian drum & joins in the evening entertainment. Service is quick & attentive. Great car parking, though would like to see a few EV chargers.
13/08/2025: The hotel dates back to the 18th century and is very good. In some places, you can tell that it's showing its age.

20/08/2025: Very good food, i was with a party of 10 and boss man served us all in 15 minutes. Looks a bit dingy but the food was very good so can’t complain.
17/08/2025: Amazing taco kebab absolutely loved it. A lot of food for the money. Got chips, coke and a fat kebab for €15 and it was hard to finish. Absolutely banging food, highly recommend

20/06/2025: Highly recommend! Amazing location, lovely people, comfortable and clean rooms, great service and a fantastic breakfast!!
09/05/2025: There was a nice hotel with a good bar and restaurant. Now temporarily closed to public access. Sheltered refugees. Thanks to them for this.
Across the road there is a good store with a cafe
