The best restaurants in Shannon legal town

10/12/2025: I flew into to Shannon from the UK on a business trip. I ask a local man for recommendations to eat . He told me head to the pantry Inside a shopping mall. I took his recommendation and went to the pantry . The place was spotless and there was music playing to fill the place with a soothing atmosphere. I then approached the cashier to order and was met by a super friendly waitress named Caroline. She was ever so kind and friendly and made the most wonderful coffee I ever had . An absolutely lovely waitress. I sat down with the food brought to me at an efficient pace and eat pancakes with bacon and my god I was transported to another dimension. So overall great place to eat with a wonderful attententive waitress and great food . Thanks Caroline and thanks pantry . Five stars.

09/12/2025: The food was extremely overpriced and for the price of what I'd ordered i expected better quality, although service was quick I can't fault that, it was quite unnerving for one of the staff, I believe her name is Caroline to have stared directly at myself and my partner for the duration of our lunch as I'd actually caught her a few times and it was very off putting.

01/11/2025: We had a great experience at this restaurant inside Shannon Springs Hotel. The food is very good quality and freshly prepared. The staff are polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The bathrooms are kept very clean, which is always a plus. There is free car parking available, and the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: The service and atmosphere is excellent here. We had a family meal here after bringing a family member to the crematorium and I have to say that the staff were beyond helpful and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend The Old Lodge Gastro Pub

01/03/2026: I was absolutely blown away by this hotel, from how great it looks and to the staff. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were very friendly. The hotel itself is immaculate, the rooms are beautifully decorated as is the hotel itself. Then the food, wow. The food is so tasty, the atmosphere is so laid back too. All in all it was definitely worth going and I'll definitely be back. I'd highly recommend staying here to anyone. Oh big shout out to your staff especially the younger ones, theyre a credit to you and themselves.

01/03/2026: This hotel was lovely. Classically designed and beautiful rooms. The staff were so friendly, helpful, kind and they absolutely made the stay. I don't have enough nice things to say about them.

14/01/2026: Did it as a takeaway through Just Eat. My previous experiences with Big bites have been some what okayish. This time it was very quick and maintained a good temperature in its delivery. Garlic mushrooms, Veg Samosa and Chicken Dum Biryani were this reviewer’s choice and all were very tasty. (The latter- the chicken just felt off the bone, yummy). Well recommended!!!

08/03/2026: Pros - Food was excellent quality. Good portion size. Freshly made - Friendly and efficient service - Restaurant clean and tidy Cons - No heating in restaurant and staff openly admit so. - Toilets have no way to dry your hands - I did order a soft drink and noted it was out of date by a month or so. Staff however apologetic and did give immediate refund as these things do happen. I would visit again after my experience today as the food itself is excellent.

17/01/2026: I recently visited Hochak Asian Street Food at Brú Na Sionna, Shannon Town Centre with my family and it was a truly enjoyable experience. From the moment our food arrived, it was clear that this place values both quality and generosity. We ordered the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and the Korean Chicken Fried Rice, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The soup was warm, comforting, and full of flavour — perfectly balanced and freshly prepared. It was a great way to start the meal, especially on a cool day. The Korean Chicken Fried Rice was absolutely delicious. It was packed with flavour, well-seasoned, and the chicken was tender and well cooked. What really stood out was the portion size — the plates were extremely generous. In fact, the portions were so large that we couldn’t finish our meals, which is rare and very much appreciated. The food tasted fresh, authentic, and clearly made with care. For the quality and quantity offered, the value for money is excellent. It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling completely satisfied. Overall, Hochak Asian Street Food is a fantastic spot in Shannon for anyone who enjoys tasty Asian food served in generous portions. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family, and I look forward to visiting again to try more dishes from their menu.

28/11/2025: Place is a classic Irish cottage setting tucked in around the corner opposite to Treacys Oakwood Hotel where I was staying. Tried their spicy chicken kebab, quantity was good but the chicken was cooked inconsistently, some pieces were chewy & hard, some pieces were soft however some were undercooked as felt rubbery while chewing had to spit out. Customer service was good and there was no long wait after ordering. Food quality can be improved.
