The best restaurants in Shannon legal town

17/04/2025: Food: chips were poor no color on them and a bit soggy. The chicken burger was really good, the batter. The little side salad was a side salad nothing much to rave about here. Service: bit awkward setup. Go in and get the menu yourself, order at the counter, find your own seat site down and wait for food. When I got in I didn't know if it was a wait be seated or what sort of job until I saw sign on table. Don't care what ever way you guys do it but at least make it clear. Atmosphere: it's a cafe shop in a shopping center

06/02/2025: Coffee stop on way to service at Crematorium. As we were not eating, we were directed to cold dark back bar but made our way back to the front area and we were served our coffee + biscuit in due course.

Minecraft is advertised everywhere, minecraft toys at the display but Jurrasic Park books given with the happy meal...well, it upset my kids, and me as I had no idea what I pay for. The Minecraft limited big mac came cold. I have never been so disappointed with McDonalds. Last visit in this place.

07/01/2025: The spicy bag is the only thing that I hav gotten so far and the both times that I have got it it had been delicious. The workers there are really kind and helpful. The price is worth it. The spicy bag is only €7.80 but it would feed two people. The first time I got it it was really spicy and the chips were the spiciest. The chicken was lovely as well. I would really recommend it as a place if you love Chinese food or just spicy food in general.

12/04/2025: I would like to share my experience from today at Bollywood Temple Restaurant in Shannon. We were a group of four and had ordered Paneer Karahi, Adraki Mushroom, four coriander garlic naans, and rice. Unfortunately, when the food was served and we began eating, we realized that what was supposed to be Paneer was actually chicken. This was especially disappointing as we had specifically planned to eat vegetarian today in observance of Human Jayanti. We immediately informed the staff, and while they did offer to replace the dish, the replacement unfortunately lacked flavor and was quite unsatisfying. Feeling disheartened, we decided to stop eating and headed to the counter to settle the bill. The gentleman at the counter was polite and understanding—he initially said we didn’t need to pay, but we insisted since the food had been served. Eventually, he offered a 50% discount, which we accepted. While we appreciated the gesture at the end, the overall experience was very disappointing. As a regular customer, I had always enjoyed dining here, but after this incident, I don’t think I’ll be returning or recommending the place to others. It’s unfortunate that such a trusted spot let us down on a day that was especially meaningful to us.

My pleasure :-) Refusal to purchase a drink / food in your wonderful establishment but serving “locals only” at 2pm in the afternoon is the first experience I’ve had in Ireland so don’t compare yourselves to every town in Ireland when that’s simply not true. You are welcome to experience true hospitality in Kerry anytime, it seems ye are lacking the concept.
