29/12/2023: The Priory cafe Fermoy is such a lovely place, the food is gorgeous and they have gluten free pastries which are so tasty. Staff are lovely and friendly I would definitely recommend.

24/02/2024: I was at superman’s Fermoy yesterday it was a complete mash up. Orders mixed up new guy not sure what he was doing. Food by the time I got it 40 minutes later was, by the time I got home , which was just up the road was chips soggy and cold burger had better. Don’t think I’ll bother again.

29/10/2023: Nice mixed kebab and lovely garlic cheese chips. But the onion rings are stodge with a huge cut of onion. My other half had a 1/4 pd. It's not bad, but I could've easily made it at home. In previous visits , I had pizza, and that was excellent

31/03/2024: Have been here several times as we usually enjoy the food. From when we entered the restaurant to actually getting our food took over an hour, it took 15 minutes before someone took our order and then over 45 minutes then for our food, there was only 4 of us and we didn't order starters. There was a total of 3 tables in the entire restaurant, Ridiculous wait time. Once we did get our food, the vegetable rogan josh, could have been a bowl of warm dog food, it was swimming in grease which lumps of burnt food in it, we were forced to send it back and order something different, the waitress rolled her eyes and this and stated "well its gonna take the 20 minutes for another meal" Chicken Korma was extremely tough, beef curry also swimming in grease, Chicken Tikka masala also very tough. Also there was a waiter wearing a bright white cap while serving everyone which looked very unprofessional. He also sneezed into his hands at one point and didn't go and wash them, he continued to interact at tables Would have expected much better service for the price we're paying. Waiter didn't even know how to split the bill, had to call the manager for help. Very disappointed as it used to be our favourite restaurant and now we will probably never go back.

14/12/2023: I visited this restaurant in the first week of December 2023. We were 4 in total not locals, and went there for dinner on our way back to Dublin. It was the most daunting and dismaying dinner I ever had from a restaurant because of the discriminatory behaviour to us by a senior server in that restaurant. I won't mention here from which country this person is from, but the clue is that it's a 'chinese restaurant'. This person is a senior employee in that restaurant and working there for the last 20 years (We confirmed this information from the manager of the restaurant). We encountered insensitive and biased behavior from this server. We could observe a stark difference in the treatment we received compared to other guests. I am not a critic of personalities, but what happend later was horrific. We clearly felt hated because of our skin color- it all started from the moment we stepped in the restaurant. Never ever going to that restaurant again, it's name on the door says: 'Hong Kong restaurant'. I will mention below few of the events that happend after we sat down: 1. While looking at the menu, my friend asked this server about the portion of main chichen fried rice dish, and how it compares to the egg fried rice side dish. His reply was "Chicken fried rice is chicken, and egg fried rice has egg" with a furious and agitated look. what the...? This person started to act weird. We suddenly knew something was wrong, but kept this to ourselves. 2. We ordered the food, and finally before he left, I asked this guy kindly if I may repeat the order again, as I could see that this guy seemed unhappy serving us. He said 'no' with a cold face and left. But when the food arrived, it was wrong and was not what we ordered. 3. We requested for changing the food as it wasn't what we ordered. Now is the most terrfying situation- this guy came speeding up to our table and started to shout, slammed the menu on the table, and created a scene. Other guests were looking at us, and we felt really down by all this. Am not gonna type more. 4. More to write, but shortening. Later we talked with the manager, we said we need to file a complaint and requested for complaint form. The manager took us into the guest waiting area and pleded and apologized continously. She was a middle aged woman, from same place as the server (*chinese* restaurant). I demanded that the manager let this guy know later that we were hurt, but surprisingly the manager said, within their tradition, she have to respect this elder person as he was elder, and working there for 20 years, and the manager has been there only for the last 5 years!! The manager later said she will let him know that we felt bad. Anyway we had to respect her apology, so we decided to leave after paying. 5. My advise: Do not go to this chinese restaurant in Fermoy unless you are white. It's on the first floor.

03/12/2023: Not a local, we opted to dine here just coz of the good reviews online about the food. The food was delicious.... no complaints there. It would have been a great evening but ahhh, it was all spoiled by the absolute disgusting attitude of one particular server. It was the elder Asian guy who provided the most unpleasant service I had ever experienced. We could see the guy greeting and smiling and happily serving the rest of the tables, but he made sure he had a grumpy face when it was our tables turn. The guy took our order and we did order a few items, so we asked if we should repeat and confirm our order to avoid any confusion. but he didn't wanna do that and when he brought the food out obviously one of our orders wrong and when asked about it, he immediately became so hostile. He rushed to get the menu, open it and aggressively start reading out as if we couldn't read, banged the menue on table, took the plate from ours and banged it to the employ table near us....let's just say he made sure there was a scene created at the tightly packed resturant. The other guests were staring at us as if we did something really really wrong. The absolute hate a disgusting in his face. You would think an experience elder guy would try to keep his composure but he seemed to have totally lost it and acted as if we were at wrong when it was him who obviously made the mistake. Seeing all this, another server, a lady hurried to our table and she handled the situation gracefully and made sure the rest of the service went through without much trouble. I am grateful to the lady who stepped up and served us, you deserve props for putting up with a***oles like this. I wish the old man who was a server for 20+ years had the maturity of this lady who said started working there just few years ago. It was supposed to be a memorable weekend with our friends but this guy managed to ruin our evening for us.... A word of advice to people of colour, avoid the elderly Asian man as your server, you would enjoy a great meal there, coz from what I observed that was the only element different about us from the rest of the guests whom he served happily that evening. And if this review ever reaches the owner, the lady server you got there is a gem, you might wanna hold on to people like her than bitter prejudiced guys like him.

25/02/2024: Today I ordered a done kebab and there was the weirdest kebab I've seen it had a big brown monster on top which had me confused there was a note on it saying try it trust me and i did and in fact I'm going back tommorow for 1 more

25/02/2024: I ordered a chicken kebab at 18:00 I was told 10 minutes after about an hour it was about 19:00 and finally got my food when I got home and opened the package it had a note that read suck my long kebab and there was urine all over the kebab I am not happy
