30/11/2025: 30-Nov-2025: had lunch today. Staff as excellent as ever. Food was really good.
Note: The specials board never includes prices; it really should.
Downside to my visit was a table with around 5 kids who were allowed to wander around the restaurant shouting at each other; climbing on the back of the partitions, and whacking christmas decorations with a pen. Their mothers sat there chatting, not caring about other customers having their lunch. A staff member did at one stage ask a little boy to go back to his table, but he was up and about again in 5 minutes.
Overall, I do enjoy the restaurant and will return occasionally.
Nice staff, and comfortable surroundings.
Had the Roast Beef lunch special.
Would probably revisit when I'm Carndonagh again.
Its been a while since my last visit.
Standards are still high. Just had the full Irish breakfast here today. Really tasty and filling.
Good value for money.
Sunday 3-Mar-2024 UPDATED: Phoned today around 11:45am to ask what time they started serving lunch, only to be told by the young lady, after she asked another staff member, that they don't serve lunch on a Sunday. Doesn't sound like a good business model.
Came to Google to update my review only to find another review giving feedback on their lunch last Sunday!

19/11/2025: Good value for money/comfort. Free parking in front. Very comfortable room and bedding.
The bathroom lacks a space heater and a towel rack.
It's above the pub, so there's loud music until midnight/1 a.m. If you're looking for a peaceful night, stay somewhere else or bring earplugs.
20/08/2025: We stayed in the rooms above the bar and they are so clean and fresh. Great value

2nd edit: don't write reviews whilst hangry, the granary bap came in clutch and pulled the flaming grill up by the boot straps, that's how you do it

16/08/2025: A lovely little Indian restaurant right in the town. The staff were really nice and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions at a very reasonable price. Itβs takeaway only, but definitely worth it if youβre looking for tasty Indian food in the area.
03/05/2025: The food I ordered was inedible. I ordered a chip box with chicken. The lettuce was old and wilted, slathered in mayonnaise, the chicken was overcooked and bland and the chips were covered in sweet chilli sauce. I noticed a lot of grey and blighty chips amoungest them. They used to do a great kebab and hogie but have gone very downhill in the last year. My aunt ordered a curry which was a lot better than my order so maybe avoid anything that is not curry based!

20/06/2025: Best craic in all of Ireland. Stopped here between buses when returning from Malin Head and met tons of kind locals in here. Been to pubs all over Ireland and this one was the friendliest.

22/06/2024: Just had a lovely salad today. Usually have a wrap or similar.
Food is always fresh and prepared to a high standard.
I personally do not like the way the cutlery comes tightly wrapped in a napkin which has been sealed with a drop of water.
Staff are always cheerful and engaging.
I now accidentally, on purpose, forget to eat before going grocery shopping so I have to drop in for a bite π
21-June-'24: Got takeaway. Food still really good. However, ordered 1 x Chicken Chorizo and 2 x Chili Chicken wrap.
Got home 15-min later to find I had been given 2 x Chicken Chorizo. Unfortunately, someone went without lunch as they totally dislike Chorizo π
