25/09/2025: Food is delicious. Probably the best Chinese in town and in the whole area. Only problem is they don't take cards, but if you have cash it's the best place you can order food.
02/08/2025: Omg this restaurant don't go ok first service,when i entered the mat is sticky?my feat had stickyness then at the register the girl who is Chinese is almost impossible to understand what she's saying and INCREDIBLY RUDE! she has dead no interest in you at all and when you collect your food she asks what i ordered "I ordered chi-" she's gone comes back with bag,what else you want "salt" gives me 2 pieces of the little salts,and she almost doesn't understand you too I say "I want a fanta,club orange,water please"she goes to fridge right behind her and asks again fanta clu-? And looks at me???And the cherry on top she forgot one of my orders only the food is nice when you first eat it,then a few minutes after you'll feel sick i mean I do not recommend!!

Sauté looked exactly like what I feed my cats it’s just really not good all together I’d far rather go to marinas

31/12/2023: The location, the house, and the room were beautiful. Theresa is a very lovely woman. We had a great night sleep and a fantastic breakfast. We will definitely go back for a little break.

First choice when visiting Donegal town.

10/01/2024: Update: 10th January 2024.
CLOSED - Google shows it’s open but blinds are down and sign says it shut for January.
Bonus: we walked around and found Furey’s diner, not somewhere we’d been before.
Whenever we visit Donegal we always use to pop in here for a cuppa and something to eat.
Arrived today to find it closed, sign in window states they closed due to refurbishment at the beginning of January and will reopen again in February.
Based on my past visit I’m giving it 5 stars and hopefully it will reopen soon.

09/11/2025: A restaurant that lives up to the hotel's standards, which is rare. The meat is of excellent quality, and the scallops are out of this world—the best we've ever had, and I apologize to the Galicians for saying so. The service is superb, and the setting is beautiful. It's worth a visit even if you're not staying at the hotel.
28/05/2025: The most incredible service, excellent staff, amazing food. Beautiful atmosphere. Our large party had been traveling all day, got turned away from the pub, but inquired at Cedars and was immediately welcomed, and the highest quality service given to us even though we were not guests of the hotel and just passing through late in the evening. Did not make us feel uncomfortable, underdressed, or out of place … the staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make it a delightful experience! Outstanding food! And the best hospitality - thank you!!

01/06/2025: This bar is amazing, you think it's a small bar but it is unbelievably massive as you walk through all the wee rooms and alleys, big beer garden, can't wait to return, will definitely be my 1st call next time I'm in Donegal town. Highly recommend.
06/05/2025: Had a great time, here. It's attached to McCafferty's (?), so it's much bigger inside than it appears. Beer is reasonable and service was great. The musicians were really good. Get here early, find a seat, and don't leave. This place gets packed.

30/01/2025: A very nice and cosy place I believe everyone must experience. Even though it mostly had old people but they were too nice and welcoming. I got the chance to have a chat with multiple kind ladies and brilliant old men. They were very warm and curious to know about life stories. One man even said a prayer for us which was such a nice experience.
I wish the very best of luck to this small community initiative by the pastor.
