11/05/2025: Website is a little confusing as it lists only their Letterkenny location (and they’re a mobile truck, I could have imagined they don’t stay in one place!). I was able to find them just fine in Donegal though

03/08/2025: We visited this place on the August Bank Holiday weekend as it was recommended by a local. The food was superb. We ate some seafood chowder and toasted sandwiches. Everything was so well seasoned. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit and can't wait to return.

06/09/2025: We ordered steak, seafood chowder, seafood platter, 4.5 Guinness, lemon meringue and 2 Irish coffee for around €150. Fantastic value for money given the cosy venue and food was genuinely delicious. Definitely worth a visit as part of your trip to Donegal Town!

05/09/2025: We stayed at the Abbey Hotel and had dinner downstairs at the Market house in May 2023. I still think about the food we had that night! Especially the Fish Pie!
31/08/2025: Food was overpriced and not good. We got the burger and seafood risotto, and both lacked flavor. Bread was hard to cut and hard (I don’t think it was supposed to be). Save yourself the money and try something else.

21/09/2025: A very decent & by Irish standards reasonably priced place to stay. Spotless, spacious bedroom + superb modern shower room. Couldn’t be more central in Donegal Town. Large car park a short walk away costing (if memory serves) a little over €1 for 24 hours with no restrictions on length of stay. I’m knocking off a star because there’s no breakfast option & the experience overall was rather impersonal. The steep, narrow stairs up to rooms might be challenging to the aged or infirm, as might the uphill walk from Car Park #4 with suitcases.

22/08/2025: Went to La Bella Donna for dinner and really enjoyed it. I had the Pollo Diavolo which was full of flavour and had just the right kick, while my wife had a pizza that was fresh and delicious. The staff were really patient and accommodating with our little ones, which we really appreciated. Great food and a relaxed atmosphere – we’ll definitely be back.

17/09/2025: Super easy to find, lots of public parking at .50€/hr 9am-6pm, quiet, clean, accessible, friendly, and helpful staff.
21/08/2025: Dirty. Dated. Disappointed. I had high hopes for this hotel. The rooms are dated. The mattresses needed replaced ten years ago. There was a blood stain on one of our pillows. Mold on the shower caulk. Room was stuffy but if you opened a window in would bellow cigarette smoke. We moved rooms. Second room was better but it faced the area of the kitchen exhaust fan so we smell of fried chips all night. The only thing that it has going for them was the staff was super accommodating and the location. The breakfast was subpar. Did not eat dinner here. If you’re looking for something close to the center of Donegal then this is it if you can handle the noise and smells. Otherwise, find somewhere else.
