25/08/2025: Dined in An Poitin Stil as a bus group of 30 people in Aug 25. We were a group from Limerick who were looking for dinner on our way home from a show in Dublin.
From start to finish the experience was superb. Aileen had been in touch over and back to me with menu options, prices etc for weeks before. Once we got there everything went perfect. The food, the service and the price.
The restaurant was really busy, so I was a bit concerned that there may be delays, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I can't recommend it highly enough for a larger group. We had two waitresses looking after us throughout and they were lovely. It was my first time in An Poitin Stil but it certainly wont be my last. The location if perfect for anyone heading down the M7. Well done to all !!!
25/08/2025: As always food and service is fantastic, we have eaten here many times over the years, Highly recommend this pub for fantastic and varied menus.
One pece of advice Please make the trifle like you used to, with proper custard, thick and solid the last two occasions it was more like a packet custard, i.e. runny

20/07/2025: Breakfast was not worth the money for a local café.my bacon was burned. It is so dirty.our table was sticky the toilet door,where most touch was almost brown colour from all the finger tips. The ladies behind the counter are polite and atmosphere is really relaxing ..but sorry going for breakfast as poitin instead for the same money/quality.
20/07/2025: An absolute find when it comes for a decent breakfast. Lovely staff and fast service. Definitely going back there again.

30/07/2025: Thrilled with my experience dining at The Egg in Avoca. They were able to accommodate significantly for my gluten-free diet, the pancakes were superb and arrived quickly. Staff are all very pleasant and attentive. The coffee was also fantastic. Will be returning!

16/07/2025: I have been orderering here for a while and their food seems ok but I don’t know what happened today I clearly ordered a meat kebab with chips and Taco source I specifically mentioned the taco multiple times but the taco was missing and I had to call to let them know the staff said he didn’t hear they said I should keep the food I have and they would bring another one with the taco after waiting again for up to 30mins my drink getting warm and was really hungry to my surprise the taco was missing again when I specified ordered it seperate to eat with my chips and they said I misunderstood them that they thought I said they should mix the taco source with the kebab and that the driver can’t come back because he has a lot of other orders to make I had to eat the chips raw and it ruined the whole meal for me really disappointing indeed.

21/07/2025: I’ve given Mandarin House multiple chances, but unfortunately, it’s been a consistently disappointing experience. I’ve had my order messed up on at least three separate occasions, and each time I’ve tried to raise the issue, I’ve been met with poor customer service. There’s never any accountability—just the same response that “there’s nothing they can do about it.” Not even a simple apology.
To be fair, the food itself is actually quite good. But for me, the quality just doesn’t make up for the hassle of dealing with repeated mistakes and unhelpful service. Sadly, I won’t be ordering from them again.
27/06/2025: Absolutely heavenly once you know what you like. All these bad reviews have only tired one thing but once you have a few dishes you like this place is easy, delicious and reliable. The food is ready super fast and the staff are really nice people. The fried rice, spice bag, sides of rice, noodles and curry sauce are some of my favourite foods. I recently climbed Ben Nevis and could not wait to get home and have a familiar comforting meal. Truly a place I know I can always reliable on and hold close to my heart.

Which is unfortunate as I had a voucher for afternoon tea but it’s fine. irrelevant if google states if open or closed ur still selling voucher for a business that is closed and therefore unredeemable, it is the owners responsibility to inform living social and/or any other company that may be selling vouchers on behalf of the business that you are no longer active. Do you google every place of business you go to check if it is open or closed? Doubtful… a 1 star review is justified as to sell and voucher for something that is unredeemable is bad service. As I cannot comment on the food or atmosphere I will retract these stars, however my time spent going out to your business only to find it closed my time spend trying to get a refund(thus far unsuccessfully) is wasted and thus qualifies as poor service. I apologise if u find this review in poor taste.
30/07/2024: Great place, lovely atmosphere! The coffee and the banana bread were delicious! They also have delicious homemade sourdough breads. The service was good, too. My favourite part is the beautiful cups they serve tea and coffee in!
