The best restaurants in Portmarnock

29/05/2025: Our pizzas, garlic bread & bruschetta were so tasty. Lovely atmosphere to this restaurant, staff very welcoming, eye contact very pleasant in that the staff's focus on the customers experience was evidently present. We look forward to going again!!

17/06/2025: 2025 Update It’s been some time since my last visit, and I’m delighted to report that this hotel remains as outstanding as ever. The staff are exceptionally well-trained, friendly, and always eager to help, making the entire experience truly enjoyable. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and while the rooms are compact, there’s ample storage for clothes and luggage, so space is never an issue. The food continues to impress, offering excellent quality and variety. Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for more. The hotel sits right next to the beach, perfect for long walks or a morning run if that’s your thing. Plus, it’s only a short drive along the scenic coast road to Malahide, where you’ll find fantastic bars and restaurants. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a memorable experience by the sea.

16/06/2025: We went to the Portmarnock resort for a half day spa visit. The entrance of the hotel, foyer and grounds are kept very well. Decor is fresh and modern throughout the areas we visited. The spa, main reception, reception level restaurant. Staff are attentive and friendly. The spa probably needs a little more attention, training and staff. As the reception isn’t manned while treatments are going on a s treatments seemed to be over lapping. Also one of the treatments I booked the therapist wasn’t trained in so had to offer an alternative. This was very disappointing as it’s the reason why we traveling an hour and 15 mins to the spa. Plus the post treatment treat of sorbet or fruit wasn’t offered. We had lunch in The Seaview. Nice menu. Good food options and tasty bites were received. Could do with a little more attention to detail below the table line, the floor could have done with cleaning ant crumbs or food that was dropped was being missed not too much so don’t be put off and above the table line well kept and maintained. Lovely views and decor so actually your eyes will not be drawn to the floor. Over all a very pleasant and enjoyable experience so we would return.

26/05/2025: Just home from a carvery, with my family. Thought i would leave a review, as it deserve's one. The service from Kieron the Chef was next to none, he was very welcoming & friendly. The food was beautiful, nice and hot with great portion size. We were absolutley stuffed leaving very satisfied with our meal.The staff are all very nice. We will 110% be returning and recommending it to family and friends in the future. Thanks Kieron 😀

21/05/2025: 7 of us Came here for bit of dinner as we were recommended, only one cleared the plate cause he was hungry enough to tolerate it. Meals went to waste, over €100 gone to waste. We all got half roast beef which cost €15, very expensive for half roast. One got just 2 scoops of mash and 2 slices of meat and still charged €15. Carrots and cabbage was what you get in the butchers in the container, not fresh veg. which was a big let down as I prefer fresh veg, especially when paying high price for food. No taste of the food whatsoever, mash was swimming in water from the veg not been drained off properly. First and last time going there. Had 1 pint and it was flat. Would not recommend, I'd pick somewhere else if I was you. If I knew how to post pics I would of plates beaely touched.
