The best restaurants in Portmarnock

17/11/2024: Lovely cozy place, near Portmarnock Beach and lovely little walks. Popped in after a fossil event and got the avocado toast and frittata. Gluten free bread available. Really tasty frittata and avocado toast was good too. Solid coffee. Would definitely come back with friends and happy to see at least two gluten free sweet options as well in the counter. But cross contamination not ensured.

13/11/2024: This place is really cosy and welcoming. The coffee is really good and the food is great. I think the porridge or the breakfast bap are standouts for me. My brother LOVED the vegan avo on toast.

23/11/2024: Wonderful staff, and of course the coffee was excellent. It's always a delight to be served by courteous and helpful people, a big plus every time.

14/11/2024: Staff shouldn’t be working with food if they’re sick. Coughing all over the place, not covering mouth when coughing, not washing hands after coughing into them. Did we learn nothing during COVID?

10/09/2024: It was okay. Basic take - away shop. Not limited to fish and chips. On the plus side, they do offer fresh fish.

29/11/2024: I used to visit this place often but now the food quality has worsened. Soggy sandwiches. They don't even greet, no smile. Bakery stuff with fungus in the fridge. Would never go there ever again.

26/11/2024: What a beautiful little cafe. Full of gorgeous homemade bakes, sandwiches, great coffee and small amount of food retail. I had a toasted chicken and pesto on sourdough and finally, a toasted sandwich that's crispy and actually hot in the middle. It's devine! I got a few little treats for take away and can't wait to try later with the family. The cafe is dressed with lovely Xmas decs and there's Christmas cheer in the background. Super friendly staff also.. Definitely go if you havnt visited you won't be disappointed. 5 out of 5

11/10/2024: My daughter and I got in on a late flight and she was craving pasta; so we stopped in to this cute, cozy Italian restaurant on the coast. Our service started off with the wonderful Sara, who helped us decide on our meals: my daughter ordered the Arrabiata and I ordered the Marsala over spaghetti (upon Sara’s suggestion), with a starter of garlic bread. The garlic bread was really good, with a nice punch of garlic. Our entrees were even better. My daughter LOVED her Arrabiata (best she’s ever had) and my Marsala was really good! Nice portions and well prepared, perfectly cooked pasta. After our meal, Emma came to check on us, and we had a lovely conversation about our trip through Europe and her trips to the U.S. Emma shared her love of the family restaurant; and you could really feel her passion. All in all, a fantastic experience! I definitely recommend Lali’s to anyone in the area looking for a great experience with great people at the helm.

08/10/2024: We have been here a few times over the years and we wanted to love it but honestly the service is terrible and the food is just okay. Our server didn't even seem to care about us and didn't ask once how any of our food was. Overall it was disappointing at best and we will not be going back.

07/12/2024: Don’t be fulled by these dreadful reviews by Karens. The food is great, Guinness is creamy and the people are friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and always decorated for the season, the toilets are always spotless clean as well. In summer it’s a lovely place for a beer im the outside seats with gorg sea views

28/12/2024: Ordered India link for years and it was my favourite Indian takeaway, got it tonight and it was possibly the worst curry I've ever eaten and I'm debating even ever ordering again. Got butter chicken, Tikka masala and korma, and ordered garlic naan gave us plain. The curries tasted like pure sugar water, no spice genuinely felt so sick with how sweet it was you wouldn't even know it was Indian food. So disappointed as it was my favourite :(
