The best restaurants in Portmarnock

22/07/2025: Consistently delicious. Dial it in, swing by and head off.. or walk up, order, grab a pint and have a seat inside or out.

04/07/2025: Very unassuming food truck. Got the smokey puck which was quite nice, the chicken puck was unfortunately very disappointing, to call it jerk flavour is an insult to all Jamaicans! It was very dry and no spice to it either. The chips were 10/10 tho, would come back for them alone.

13/08/2025: I have been to Honey Honey many times in the past and it is always very nice. I came for an acai bowl today at 3:25 and was told the kitchen was closed. Their own social media states their hours as 7:30 - 4 on weekdays. What’s the point in being “open” if you don’t serve customers for an extended time before “closing”? Especially considering what I ordered doesn’t even have to be cooked. I’ll think twice before making the journey back to Portmarnock for food here again.

27/07/2025: Nice friendly staff, the coffee was very nice and the chicken and pesto toastie hit the spot! I will be back

15/10/2024: They have served me food here that's inedible. They have screwed up my orders. They have embarrassed me with an overly loud argument in front of everyone. They have even flirted inappropriately with my partner. Sure, it looks the part... but I live in Portmarnock and I don't even consider this place as an option anymore.

09/08/2025: A nice spot to work from cafe, with plugs near tables, wifi connection and manageable noise.

27/08/2025: Highly recommend visiting Lali’s if your in the Portmarnock area. Nice tasty Italian food. The gnocchi is a really good and tasty veggie/vegan option. The staff and the owner are really friendly, my family have been going there for years. Go check it out!

17/07/2025: Was disappointed visiting this restaurant. Rocked up after finishing work quite hungry which isn’t good for the patience to begin with. Took 20 minutes to be seated which I was fine with but then taking my order took another 20 minutes and the food took minimum an hour. Thought the time wait was excessive as the starters I ordered was fried mushrooms and the main a simple pasta dish in sauce. The main tasted lovely in fairness when it did arrive, the starters was pretty rough and ready. I think perhaps I was just unfortunate at my timing on visiting the is place - they seemed to be very busy and understaffed for the covers on the night. In hindsight, I probably should have just up and left when the food was taking so long. I’d suggest in future, if understaffed, maybe turn people away. The atmosphere was a lot of grumpy hungry people which was pretty unpleasant. With that being said, the staff did seem really lovely and apologetic about it all.

05/09/2025: Pleasant service, generous portions, the food we ordered for collection was all delicious and tasted fresh & vibrant. Would recommend.

16/08/2025: I decided to take a gamble on their limited edition special at the moment, the naan lamb kebab, it didn’t disappoint at all, full of flavour, and only €8

17/07/2025: Ordered the vegetarian fillet burger meal for SIXTEEN EURO, only to receive a shitty Lidl burger patty that they bought from across the road (€1.89 for two in lidl). Daylight robbery. Have been coming to Angelos for years, but the quality of their food - especially the vegan menu - has declined rapidly in the last year, yet they've INCREASED prices at a ridiculous rate. Don't bother ordering from here, you'll waste your money and get heartburn

03/07/2025: They do vegan hot dogs and other vegan bits which is great! Such a nice chipper

25/08/2025: Possibly the finest pint I've had in Dublin, cold Guinness glass and look at the result. Also a very budget friendly price. Served by the gorgeous bar girl Daisy. Thank you and I will be back for more.

25/08/2025: A very nice place directly at sea but unfortunately our food wasn't very good. The fries were soft and not salted enough, the burger was dry and it was only meat and cheese, no vegetables whatsoever, the pepper sauce for the steak was way to thick but the steak was decent, good meat and cooked just right. The staff was very nice!

03/07/2025: I ordered for DELIVERY on a Wednesday evening . I made the call at 9:24pm the male on the other end of the phone took my order and asked me to spell out my address for the delivery , he said it would take 15/20 mins . 35 mins later I ring to see where the food is and the lady on the phone states it’s there waiting for me ? The male I spoke to , to make the order had my order down for collection. At this stage it was 10:15pm we were so hungry waiting on our food . I had complained to the lady on the phone and told her that her colleagues had clearly made a mistake so I asked her to freshen our food and send it out again , I was so hangry at this stage . I asked the lady on the phone what could she do for me and all she could do was take the delivery charge off with was €2.20 . I ring back to add two cokes to my order and I explain to the lady how frustrated I was that her colleague actually got me to spell out my address for the delivery so how did he get so mixed up that it was for collection ? The lady on the phone basically laughed at me . So unprofessional and not atal taking the responsibility or the situation serious , she was so rude . The delivery came and we were met with a lovely delivery driver and I had explained to him that I was not paying for the two cokes . He agreed with me after I explained the whole situation and he had to ring the lady in the Chinese shop to tell her that she can not charge me for the cokes because it was them that made the mistake . I am writing and explained all of this because i work with the public in my job and provide a service and I would never treat anybody especially if I was in the wrong like that lady treat the whole situation for me . I will never again order from the sea palace portmarnock .
