09/10/2024: Insomnia Portmarnock is my oasis. As an older cyclist, I need motivation. So, with each particular spin, we have favourite coffee stops. With that said, our Glasnevin Swords Malahide Portmarnock Howth spin involves a return leg via Portmarnock, and that becomes our natural stop. Portmarnock Village is not a Malahide or Howth but a pleasant gateway devoid of tourists but has a lovely feel of authenticity of a small local village full of friendly people. Insomnia reflects this attitude, and don't be surprised if a stranger strikes up a conversation or when sitting outside a friendly nod and a quiet hello.

10/09/2024: It was okay. Basic take - away shop. Not limited to fish and chips. On the plus side, they do offer fresh fish.

11/10/2024: My daughter and I got in on a late flight and she was craving pasta; so we stopped in to this cute, cozy Italian restaurant on the coast. Our service started off with the wonderful Sara, who helped us decide on our meals: my daughter ordered the Arrabiata and I ordered the Marsala over spaghetti (upon Sara’s suggestion), with a starter of garlic bread. The garlic bread was really good, with a nice punch of garlic. Our entrees were even better. My daughter LOVED her Arrabiata (best she’s ever had) and my Marsala was really good! Nice portions and well prepared, perfectly cooked pasta. After our meal, Emma came to check on us, and we had a lovely conversation about our trip through Europe and her trips to the U.S. Emma shared her love of the family restaurant; and you could really feel her passion. All in all, a fantastic experience! I definitely recommend Lali’s to anyone in the area looking for a great experience with great people at the helm.

08/10/2024: We have been here a few times over the years and we wanted to love it but honestly the service is terrible and the food is just okay. Our server didn't even seem to care about us and didn't ask once how any of our food was. Overall it was disappointing at best and we will not be going back.

27/10/2024: Ordered for takeaway. The green curry was fragrant and slightly spicy. Delicious. Also prawns were cooked right. Good value for money. Thanks

26/10/2024: Place doesn't have plates or bowls to eat your rice if you dine-in. If you would like to eat curry and rice in cardboard box then must try! (Spoiler)Spicy wings in starter comes drowned in sweetchilli sauce. No choice.. just don't be fooled by the google photoshopped pics from reviews. Dosent look anything like what the restaurant has posted. Protip ,polythene bags for dinein would cut cost for the management!
