The best restaurants in Skerries

18/11/2024: Known for its sea food, we expected the meals with be tasty and they were! I was pleasantly surprised with Cod Florentine, the sauce paired very well with the cod fish and it wasn’t overpowering. Fish and chips didn’t disappoint either. Great spot for heartwarming meals.

12/11/2024: Nice environment and excellent fish crab soup. King prawns were fantastic. Kind personnel and meeting Patsy Kensit avatar was fun too. Best wishes and see you soon again!

12/10/2024: We had a fantastic lunch here today to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. The food and service were exceptional and staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend this place and the view we had was just fantastic.

19/10/2024: The Brick House served us our best meal during a 10 day family trip in Ireland and Scotland. We stopped in for lunch on a whim after a stroll through Skerries and didn't expect much, but we were blown away by the quality of the food and the service was great as well. The wait staff were kind and attentive. They seemed puzzled why a group of American tourists would be visiting their humble place in Skerries, which is criminal, because the food is so good. We ordered the following: Mussels - supremely fresh, small mussels (which makes them sweeter) in a garlicky white wine butter sauce. A very generous portion despite being part of their tapas deal where you get to pick several dishes. Pork belly bites - rendered crispy as they should be in a mildly sweet and tangy bbq style sauce. Very tasty. Seafood chowder - reminds me of my grandmothers oyster stew. A variety of fresh seafood in a light broth with little droplets of seafood fat. Tastes like childhood! Calamari - lightly battered and fried crispy, tender, with a solid sweet and spicy thai chili sauce. Hot wings - medium large wings fried crispy and juicy, generously sauced. Wings done right! Someone in our party also ordered a salad, possibly a chicken caeser, and they were happy as well though I didn't taste it. The pints were poured proper and promptly! If I had to levy a criticism, it would be that the outdoor seating in the back was tight for our party 5. We may have asked for that that though (don't recall), so this is a very minor gripe. Overall if you want quality, affordable food with friendly, down to earth service, I can't recommend The Brick House enough. Do it! Note - I would typically reserve 5 stars for a truly perfect experience, but I feel the need to indicate 5 stars here to offset the fact that the Brick House only has an overall rating of 4.4 stars. In this day and age, it can be difficult for a restaurant to stay busy with a star rating of less than 4.5, and I feel The Brick House certainly deserves to stay busy!

06/11/2024: Beef burger good but not worth the price....They made me eat at the bar counter in front of the barman (the only kind one)...the girls at the tables, even though I had asked them for a table, left me at the bar counter even though they were behind and in at the back of the room there were many free ones….ps: to tell the truth they would have given me one behind the entrance door….it's okay that I was alone but I don't like a little more attention….

02/11/2024: Pork ribs, Moroccan chicken, burger, boneless chicken and half chicken with nachos/mini tortillas can all be highly recommended. Great service as usual

20/10/2024: Some would call it a pig sty, but I would call it Skerries Mills. As a woman, I find this place repulsive. The stench made my nostrils shrivel. Speaking of shrivelled, the staff is reluctant to help, as if they are practising social distancing😠💔! ZONT GET ME STARTED HUN the chips were as cold as the servers hearts I could construct a jenga structure with them the only thing stopping me was the grease lubing my fingers🛢🪔

20/10/2024: while i was there i was served by a female whomst well let’s just say wasn’t too fond of the old magnet. The cups had had lipstick on them and the water wasn’t replenished, I had too stim to self sooth as the over stimulating environment mixed with constant smashing of plates made me uncomfy and nervvy 🫣🫣
