The best restaurants in Athenry

10/07/2025: Honestly I wasn’t going to leave a review but I’m quite upset about how this place has treated my sister lately. I am quite a regular customer at least once a week I’d go in here to buy food. I understand at the cost of living has increased and food prices and restaurants has to go up to keep their business open But there’s a way of doing that that Without being so rude. I sent my sister in but 2 bags of chips And gave her the exact change. The lady behind the counter scoffed and very loudly told my sister that she was 50c short. Instead of just kindly explaining that the prices had recently increased again She tried to embarrass my sister in front of everyone else in the shop by letting them all know that she didn’t have the right amount of money. I don’t check the menu prices every single week as I am such a regular buyer from this take away. My sister that explained that she didn’t have the right amount of money but the lady behind the counter scout and holder that she’d already put salt and vinegar on the large bag of chips and refused to put salt and vinegar on the other bag of chips over my sister being 50c short. If the lady behind the counter had just explained the price increased and And to know for next time but she embarrassed and made my sister feel very unwelcome in this takeaway and I will never ever for as long as I live that foot back in this establishment as I feel like it’s a really unfriendly and unwelcoming! €11 for 2 bags of chips even in this economy is crazy!
