25/03/2026: Great food, never been there in person but the take away is the best around. Very friendly and easy to deal with if something is wrong.
19/10/2025: My husband and I both love this restaurant: whether to eat in or take out, the quality of the food is top notch. The menu is extensive, and the prices are very reasonable for the portions given. The restaurant dining area is very cosy, dimly lit, but that adds to the atmosphere, as does the music. I think it's a pity that the dining area isn't full every night, but I feel that's partly due to the location (lovely though it is, being situated on the historic French Church Street), and the still-lingering after effects of Covid. The takeaway part is always busy, and there is a delivery or pick up option. If you love authentic Indian food, cooked well, and sold in decent-sized portions, then I recommend that you get yourself to The Great India for a treat for which your taste buds will thank you!

22/02/2026: Got a “so called” chicken tikka kabab to break my fast today as i was running late for home. If you guys think boiling chicken and drowning it in some sauce makes it a chicken tikka, you guys really need to learn a thing or two about cooking.
And this comment is coming from a guy who was fasting for 12 hours ( no food or drink) and your food was still unbearable.
16/11/2025: Got food from this restaurant tonight and will never eat there again. Got chips and they were not fully cooked and were soggy. Also got battered sausages or what was supposed to be battered sausages and they were vile. It's not hard to cook chips or battered sausages.
