10/09/2026: There are many restaurants in Limerick city, but I have always preferred dining at Bamboo because of its great taste and service. Yesterday, 9 September, was actually my 5th visit to Bamboo. As usual, I visited with my wife and daughter, and we ordered butter chicken and naan, which is my daughter’s favourite. I had also invited two friends, although initially they were not sure if they could make it. They joined us about 10 minutes after we arrived. When they arrived, I politely asked if we could move to a larger table. Unfortunately, the request was declined, even though the restaurant was very quiet at the time, with only around two tables occupied. I was told that the existing table was suitable for six people. However, initially the table had only been set with four plates, so the way this was communicated felt a little disrespectful and uncomfortable. Another thing I noticed was that, on our previous visits, we were always served papadums with three different chutneys, which we really enjoyed. This time, they were not offered to us, while I noticed another couple at a nearby table being served them. I am not sure why, and I didn't want to make an issue of it, so I chose not to ask. Our food, as always, was excellent. The butter chicken and naan were absolutely delicious. We ordered butter chicken, three butter naans, chicken chow mein/noodles and chicken soup for five people. Unfortunately, the service this time was very disappointing and, in my experience, the worst I have received at Bamboo. This is the first time I have ever felt this way about the restaurant, which is why I wanted to share the feedback. I genuinely like Bamboo and have returned five times because I enjoy the food, especially the butter chicken and naan. I hope the management will take this feedback positively and look into the service experience, because good food combined with good hospitality is what makes customers want to keep coming back.
