02/04/2024: I've eaten the takeaway many times and it's good, but never eaten in, so I decided to try this early on a Tuesday evening. The place was, not surprisingly for a Tuesday at 6pm, empty of sit in diners. I asked the young man at reception if I could sit at one of the window tables looking out onto the street. To my surprise he told me no I couldn't and would I sit at one of the interior tables set for 2 people (as opposed to the window tables that were set for 4). I asked him if the window tables were reserved or if he was expecting many people to come. "No" he replied, "but we don't let ONE person sit at tables set for 4, but I could sit at one of the aforementioned interior tables for 2". I was flabbergasted tbh and told him no thankyou, that I would go and eat somewhere else. "No problem" he sneeringly called after me. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY!? So I am currently writing this review from the excellent Pasta Bella, a few doors down at, yes you guessed it, a WINDOW TABLE, where the waitresses are mannerly and polite and had absolutely no objection to my taking one of the 2 window tables.

06/03/2024: Our once a month treat. Relaxed atmosphere even when packed. Food is delicious, with a huge menu. Never rushing to kick you out when you’re finished. Highly recommended.
