07/12/2025: Stopped here on our way to Dublin for a Sunday roast. Helped by the manager, who was abrupt to the point of rudeness and generally unhelpful. Rest of the staff were friendly.
Food was terrible, with tough meat, unseasoned sides, uncooked potatoes.
09/10/2025: Rustic Inn sure has that good ambience with bar, eatery etc. You can have events here too but you must book early as it is in high demand. Free parking is available around and lots of access to nearby route.

25/08/2025: Lovely lunch on Saturday afternoon. Caprese salad - mozzarella with tomatoes, toasted pine nuts and pesto - served with warm homemade ciabatta - delicious! We shared some olives, hummus and salad leaves. We had a muffin and cookie afterwards - fresh and obviously homemade - melt in the mouth.

23/08/2025: Got a great friendly welcome from the two people on duty, Freya and Enda.
Shown to my room, tastefully laid out and really felt homely.
I'm extremely fussy about my bed and it was so comfortable.
Good shower and tea/ coffee making facilities and a stylish breakfast area.
Handy parking, seating area to the front and overall I'm delighted.

02/11/2025: OMG what an BAD experience. The food is of a very poor standard indeed. It seems to be pre cooked and lined up to heat in microwave as ordered. We stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast which we were told has finished…Disappointed we decided to look at alternative options. We ordered soup and a coffee and scone. The soup came lukewarm and with one mean slice of brown bread which was cut so thinly it fell apart when lifted off the plate. And the coffee which was cold. So we cancelled the second part of our order. As we approached the till to pay before leaving, we could hear shouting in an angry tone. At first we didn’t realise it was being directed at us. And then we realised it was the cook in the kitchen shouting and hurling insults and abuse at us from the kitchen because we had cancelled the second part of our order! We were shocked and appalled by her behaviour and bad manners in front of staff and other customers. What a bad ambassador for any business. I can’t imagine what it must be like to work in an environment like this. The young ladies serving are extremely pleasant and doing their best but I would think it’s not a very pleasant work environment. Only for the fact that there’s nowhere else around for miles I expect this place would be closed long ago….The worst experience I’ve ever had when eating out…the place is cold, the decor desperate …pallets on the ceiling for light holders and cheap timber furnishings…..avoid avoid avoid. The reviews online definitely don’t reflect our experience perhaps it’s the reviews from associates of the cook ???

13/01/2026: Food standards have really gone down we went for a sunday dinner and it was a big let down compared to meals we have had there many times before.
05/01/2026: Hotel is very well located in centre of the town. Refurb downstairs looks good, but some carpets/fittings upstairs were a little old & looked unloved. Food was good, and a few options to choose at the carvery. Breakfast was good, and plenty of it. Staff were efficient & accommodating. We will be back.

19/12/2025: I ordered a cake as a family present from The Courtyard Cafe..
It was ready and given on payment with no fuss. The staff were nice and good and I'm writing particularly because the cake was first class.. the price was really good for the top job that was done. I'm going there in future.
Needless to say the Birthday cake was gone into the bellies in no time. People commented on how good the cake looked and it was tasty regards, Anthony.
20/11/2025: Stopped in for a vegetarian breakfast this morning. Best breakfast in town. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly. Only issue is the card machine is broken so need to pay in cash, but they told me that when I arrived. Would definitely recommend 👌

Mi amigo y yo fuimos ayer a comer tarde.
Decidimos comprar la ensalada de queso higo y cabra y las alitas de pollo grandes - que pedimos simple con barbacoa y salsa picante en el lado. La comida llegó, y la ensalada era preciosa. estábamos disfrutando de las alitas, pero cuando llegamos a las últimas cuatro, mi amigo eligió una, y se comió. No tenía piel y tenía marcas de mordeduras en el pequeño trozo de pollo que quedaba.
Llevé el tazón al mostrador y le expliqué en voz baja lo que pasó. Tanto la camarera como el camarero que nos sirvió se disculparon. Se llevó el tazón a la cocina, y volví a la mesa. Nadie volvió a hablar de ello, así que después de unos 10 minutos, nos levantamos para irnos. Fuimos al mostrador a pagar, y el camarero dijo que nos daría un descuento por las alas! Dije 'no gracias, no pagaremos las alas'. Dijo que el chef le dijo que esto no es posible que suceda ya que cada tazón es revisado. Tuvimos un momento acalorado en el que le pregunté si estaba insinuando que habíamos mordido el ala y luego la sacamos para que pudiéramos obtenerla gratis. Hecssid no nos lo comió y siguió repitiendo el chef dijo que no era posible. Pregunté por un gerente y me dijo que no había ningún gerente en el lugar, así que pregunté por el chef y dije que tan pronto como saliera, subiría la foto de dichas alas y le diría a la mayor cantidad de personas posible sobre cómo se comportaban. Tan pronto como dije esto, un "gerente" apareció en la caja, se disculpó por todo y quitó el cargo de las alas de la factura.
Qué horrible experiencia. Ya era bastante malo que se hubieran comido el ala, pero que nos acusaran de hacerlo nosotros mismos era un insulto, ya que somos clientes bastante habituales de ellos.

14/02/2025: Coldest burger and chips we’ve ever had anywhere. Ordered there and then and took home which is a 3 minute drive away. Stone cold food. Very disappointing
12/02/2025: Asked for a veggie burger in there and the savage behind the counter threw a bit of lettuce between 2 bun's with red sauce on it and charged me €5 for it
