Bella Cafe
Fermoy
01/08/2025: Great little place! We were pleasantly surprised with the food and the atmosphere!
23/07/2025: Very affordable and tasty Italian food available at Bella Cafe. The premises is small and so I would recommend booking and this also means it is not wheelchair accessible.

Leonardos

17/08/2025: The tables are right on top of each other - you might as well be eating with the next table. It was so hot there and no air con. And a year later the card machine not working....they only take cash.
Food ok would not be in a hurry back.
16/08/2025: Fabulous food. Pizzas better than some local pizza specialist places. Chicken pasta dishes have a delicious sauce. Sitting area a bit small but otherwise from a food point of view highly recommended.

Bruno's
Kinsale
21/07/2025: The owner of this restaurant must be the rudest most unwelcoming person we have ever encountered. We were left standing in a busy restaurant for 20 minutes and completely ignored despite having made a booking. We then waited another 30 minutes to have our order taken.
I was shocked to see the way the owner was speaking to people who were coming in to see if a table was available. She truly treats every customer as an inconvenience.
When we were waiting for dessert we overheard the owner telling the staff to take our order fast as she has another booking coming in. This delay was completely their fault. I ordered wine with dessert which was completely ignored and the bill was slapped down on our table. I believe we only got an opportunity to order dessert as it was included in the 2 course menu.
This place must be purely running on tourism because nobody in their right mind would return.
20/07/2025: As a local living in Kinsale, I was really let down by my visit to this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. Even though one of our group was early and we arrived on time, we were left awkwardly standing at the entrance for at least ten minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The place is small, so there’s no way the staff didn’t see us—we were clearly waiting to be seated, which just made it all the more awkward.
It took another 35–40 minutes before our drinks order was even taken. The younger staff were doing their best, but the overall vibe was ruined by the owner or manager, who came across as cold and unwelcoming. Our table was right beside the bar, and we could hear her talking about trying to “move us on” as quickly as possible—which, honestly, just made us feel even more unwelcome. She was also actively assembling takeaway orders (pizza boxes and food containers) at the end of our table, which felt intrusive.
When we ordered dessert, my friend also asked for a glass of wine, which was completely ignored. We’d only just started our desserts when the bill was dropped on the table, it felt rushed and quite rude, especially considering all the delays earlier had nothing to do with us.
The food was actually decent, which makes the poor service even more frustrating. I love supporting local spots, but after this experience, I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.
