07/02/2025: Used to be good, now a total rip-off
I’ve been coming here for years, but the quality has completely gone downhill. The pizza is still good, but the pasta doesn’t taste homemade anymore—feels like something store-bought, maybe even from Lidl. The worst part was the dessert. The menu promised "fresh whipped cream," but I got canned cream with two strawberries cut into four tiny pieces, served on a roof tile—for €10! Absolutely ridiculous. My wife ordered the cheesecake, which was more jelly than cheese, served in a biscuit with two pyramids of canned whipped cream. The other dessert I had was a Baba Napoletana, which was basically a cheap cupcake soaked in sugary water with more canned whipped cream. You can get a cheesecake from Lidl for €5—100 times better and 5 times bigger. This place has clearly turned into a cheap corner-cutting operation, and my bill came to over €100 for this nonsense. I’m beyond disappointed and definitely won’t be back.
06/02/2025: Dined in rugantinos recently. The restaurant seemed very clean, the food was lovely although portion sizes could be larger for the price. Our server was lovely and seemed knowledgeable on the menu. Will absolutely return before leaving Sligo!

Apache Pizza

08/02/2025: A regular customer of Apache Pizza for years. This evening I ordered the Spice Box, as usual and my Husband ordered the Munchy Box.When I opened the box after it was delivered, there was part of a dirty, beige coloured plaster sitting right on top of the food.
I imediately called and spoke to the Supervisor who said she would call back after checking the cameras. She called back after a few minutes and told me there was nothing on the cameras.
When I asked how the plaster was on the food, she said "I don't know, we have rules too, the staff aren't allowed wear plasters in the kitchen"... Isn't it proper food hygiene amd HACCP requirements to wear a blue coloured plaster and gloves if you have a cut?
She offered to send me another as long as they got the other one back!
I told her I didn't want a replacement as it turned me off the food, I would like a refund and they could have the food back. She refused. Horrific customer service.
I called Just Eat, they were very apologetic and they refunded me along with credit on my account as a gesture of good will.
I'm not one to leave reviews but this is disgusting and I will be reporting it to the FSAI.
02/12/2024: Worst apache in the country. Spice box is a wet mess.
