17/10/2024: Can’t comment on the rooms as I haven’t stayed, but the cafe is great. Lovely food, friendly staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. All reasonably priced too. Definitely recommended.
08/09/2024: Nice cafe in Ballybunion. Directly opposite the beach, there is a parking lot in between. Good offer. I had a delicious Cajun chicken wrap. Prices are absolutely ok: a large pot of tea, wrap, yoghurt with berries for a total of 13.50 euros.

08/09/2024: Rancid seafood experience. Ordered seafood risotto, came out 30 minutes after ordering tasted rancid and had an off putting Smokey flavour, it was also laced with a copious amount of black pepper. No fresh fish in it. I complained about it and was made to wait another 30 minutes for a chowder which was no better. Potato soup at best, with at least 2 stalks of celery and the staple black pepper one piece of fish which took me 5 minutes to find. Incredibly disappointing experience considering I am in that area frequently and could not fault any other establishment. The food was shocking bad and the service was not amazing either. Avoid the seafood there is all k can say
24/08/2024: What a place, friendly staff, amazing food, and the chicken carnation wrap along with the garlic cheese chips are very well worth mentioning what a place we go to ballybunion and this in our collective opinions is the best option for lunch with seating in and outside and I great communal vibe all and all a place worth reviewing with 5 stars, I would give 6 if I could.😁👌

24/07/2024: Last minute overnight stayover here was accommodated with a direct to hotel booking. Lovely traditional style family-run hotel. Great town centre location, but yet very quiet. Food in the bar was excellent, breakfast is a nice menu based offering. A genuine warmth about the place, without being over fussy or fake.

10/08/2024: We didn't have dinner, we went for a couple of Guinnesses with live music. Very atmospheric, large room - enough space for everyone, different types of places to sit - at a table, a barrel, a plumb line around a beam or against a wall, tastefully decorative around it, warm red light, clean in the toilet too. A cigarette vending machine, which is rare to see these days.
The musicians started around 10:30 p.m. Cool music, characterful artists who give their best to the public.

26/10/2024: Great breakfast there,with very prompt service by lovely staff,would recommend a visit.
15/09/2024: You have to wait to be seated which is no problem only it took ages to get a seat, and when we did get a seat it took ages to get our order taken. It wasn't that busy, but service was very slow. The food was only OK for the price. I wasn't impressed.

07/09/2024: Won't be visiting again, went in 3 or 4 times & every time there is something missing from order & I'm having to get up to pay again, ordered something separate for take away they tried to charge again, food is basic.

23/06/2024: poor selection compared to many other supervalues, lovely people in there and i understand there not a big chain compared to listowel, today took the biscuit for me and its happend many times, i got x2 wraps from the deli both with the same contents one wrap was €5.50 one was €4.50?
Both were filled with a bare amount and presented very poorly
I understand younger people work here in summer and there learning for work experience ect..
Just had a bad experience with the deli in there too many times now so i felt the need to review it so they may improve it

17/10/2024: Incredibly rude Manager micro manages everything, upsets staff and killing the atmosphere. staff not let to use their own initiative. Leaking roof in dining area. Wi-Fi range is terrible. Food is bland tasteless Booked table but was put up at bar counter to eat by arrogant manager whom later was drinking at bar with other guests!!!! ?Great staff but terrible manager. Manager needs to keep away from dining area and stop micro managing. Will not come back here again. Depressing function room out the back. This place is a gold mine if run correctly with right management and again food needs proper freshness. Nothing to get excited about. Old gents and ladies hotel!
