29/10/2024: Love this place! The food is excellent — personal favorites include the breakfast burrito and any of the burgers. They offer three blends of gourmet coffee, along with a delicious selection of fresh pastries to choose from. The building itself, a former schoolhouse built in 1871, has been tastefully renovated to a high standard. With much of its original charm preserved and a touch of urban vibe, it’s a very cool spot for Kilcock — I wouldn’t be surprised to see it featured on an interior design show someday!
The staff are friendly, and the service is quick. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, so pet owners can bring their pups (just make sure to check the doggy dining rules on their Facebook page to keep things enjoyable for everyone). If animals aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty of room, just try to visit outside peak hours. Highly recommend!
27/10/2024: Visited the rye river cafe again today. Amazing food and ☕️ Defiantly the best cafe in ireland !!! 10/10 all round 😚😚

20/09/2024: Very disappointed. Order for delivery after a busy week and part of our order never arrived. Soggy chicken Nuggets, completely inedible. And to have the cheek to charge almost 5euro for food that can not be consumed. Cold chips too. Absolute waste of money. Will.be a very long time before we support local again.

20/10/2024: Inept waiting staff. Serving people out of turn. Had to wait 15 mins for order to be taken while other who arrived after us were served. Wont be back.
20/10/2024: Hard to find nice good quality chip and potato scallops are more but this is one of the few places left. Worth the extra five minutes in the car. No risk of reheaded chips or poor quality greasy ones.

11/05/2024: Not for me at all. Kebab was a big heavy damp thing. Chips were ok.
Place looked very dire and the prices have increased big time than what you can see outside. Kebab meal was €11, now €15 and you don’t even get a drink.

05/10/2024: I ordered food as takeout. I know that when restaurants tend to label food as spicy, it truly is beyond mild. I even called them to ask and get reassured only to be disappointed once more when the food arrived. Moreover nowhere in the dish description did the food state it was sweet. It was sickly sweet to the point I had to throw it out after just 5-7 bites

17/08/2024: Stopped in by chance and was very impressed the Mary Rose Prawn Salad was lovely and my son loved his kids burger too. Would come back again.
03/08/2024: I would die for the chips and the pepper corn sauce they are so good. I have never ate so many chips in my whole life , five stars
