The best restaurants in Longford

07/03/2025: Uninspiring food with a slow service. You will get the same food covered in pre made sauce goop as every other Asian restaurant in the town. Nothing original or unique and definitely not street food... At some point at the beginning of Mekong, the food quality was OK, but either my standards have gone up or theirs have gone down dramatically. No online ordering.

28/02/2025: Great food, with friendly service. The restaurant can be a bit cold at times but otherwise it's a great place 👍

22/12/2024: I wanted to celebrate my child's birthday party but the service was awfull! We waited 1 and a half hour for our food and the food was so spicy that we couldn't eat it! It used to be our celebration restaurant but not anymore.

28/03/2025: The restaurant was bon arrival. We were seated promptly but tables too close together. We ordered battered cod & chips and lasagne & chips with a couple of soft drinks. The portions of lasagne and chips were too small. The lasagne especially looked like a child portion! My fish was terrible… I’ve tasted better fish in batter bought in supermarket and again the chips were similar to McDonalds chips…. terrible! The staff were friendly and service was good, but based on the food we were given I would not recommend this restaurant!

11/07/2024: ordered on line for ASAP. called in 10 mins later. rang bell, to be shouted at I will be there in a minute. when attendant did come to counter, gruffly asked for name and said it would be another 10 mins. It was easily 10 to 15 mins. Food was ok but tasted starchy, In fairness the attendant was the only member of staff to be seen and probably trying to serve and cook on their own

09/07/2024: The Longford pizza hut staff was very friendly. The lady was very helpful when choosing meals and even family drinks. We were famished so the food was good. Would recommend this store....

16/09/2024: The young blonde girl working tonight was so rude. Been going here for years and I can definitely say I won't be going back again after that. Absolute disgraceful manners! And I wasn't the only one complaining about her.

27/11/2024: I was on a trip to Longford, Ireland with my girlfriend and the Market Bar holds a very special spot for me in my life. We stopped in to possibly grab a drink, but the bar area was full. So we popped around to the restaurant side and I asked the woman bartender/server if we could sit and order two drinks. She obliged, but I felt like she was annoyed by my questioning... When we sat down, we decided that we wanted to get chips as well. The other woman server gave us some cutlery and also seemed like she had a long day and was annoyed overall by our presence. There was another patron sitting near us and she checked on him multiple times, with no attempt to even acknowledge us. She even came to take one of our stools at our table with no regard for us. The service that was provided was very cold throughout... though the chips and Guinness were delicious. It was a shame that we were made to feel like a nuisance. There was a gentleman that brought our food out, and he was much more warm and inviting, he even smiled at us. (Please note: I have travelled to Longford and Ireland as a whole many times before and I am well aware of how table service works in Ireland and how it may differ from the US. This experience was out of the norm, I am sure. I just hope that you realize that a smile goes along way.)
