Scenic Images of Foxford
Foxford
04/08/2025: Plenty of parking nearby. The buildings are bright and fresh. The staff are pleasant and helpful. There are loads of different items for sale from scarfs to coats to blankets etc. There is a cafe on site.
It would have been nice to learn some of the history of the mill but the drawings and similar items were in the cafe.
02/08/2025: We popped in for a light treat and left thoroughly satisfied. Between the rich, moist Carrot Cake topped with a thick layer of cream cheese icing (finished with a slice of candied orange and a sprinkle of nuts), and the golden, buttery Apple Bakewell Tart with its perfect balance of soft apple and almond filling on a crumbly base, the café’s dessert selection once again impressed. A little tub of cream on the side added a nice touch.
Although the café was understandably loud and lively, given the Saturday lunchtime rush, the staff kept everything flowing smoothly. There was the usual generous display of hot and cold dishes, and the cake counter looked absolutely irresistible with its colourful variety of bakes and sweet treats.

The Old Salt Coffee
Foxford
10/05/2025: Absolute gem in the heart of Foxford.
Really friendly cafe run by a fabulous hardworking couple, Lee Anne & Peter. They always remember our order and greet us with a smile and a chat. There's so many positives I could list for this cafe but to name just a few ...

Guirys Bar
Foxford
16/07/2025: Had a great chat with Pat. We'll be back. Lovely Guinness
25/06/2025: If you’re looking for the best pint of Guinness on the planet, look no further than Guiry’s, a small, family-run gem that’s worth travelling for (and I literally travel from Leeds just for a pint).
This place isn’t just a pub; it’s a proper Irish welcome wrapped in warm conversation, local charm, and that unbeatable creamy head on a pint that dreams are made of. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is effortlessly authentic.
Whether you’re popping in for the perfect pint or staying for the craic, Guiry’s never misses. 10/10 would recommend, and already planning my next trip.

The Moy Hotel
Foxford
17/07/2025: We popped into the Moy Hotel Restaurant after visiting the Foxford Woollen Mills and were so glad we did! The Beetroot Salad was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—truly a standout. The Fish and Chips were equally impressive: crisp, golden batter with perfectly cooked fish and chips. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service made this an unexpected highlight of our day. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

Golden Sea Chinese Restaurant
Foxford
(Original)
Adverage local resturaunt ⭐⭐and a half stars is my rating . Going there for years but never get anything on the house . They don't seem to want to support irish company's as the cooking oil drums , all food containers , delfware etc seem to come from China. Lots of the seems very salty .
