15/03/2025: I ordered chicken tikka for main course. But they gave 5 chicken pieces and 2 onion pieces with no gravy. Their website showing nice pictures, but giving different foods. Aslo ordered 2 egg rice. Both Dishes are two different colours. One rise is original egg rice. The other one is egg rice mixed with pilaw rice. We know what is the different between pilaw rice and egg rice. Also portion is very low. disappointed.
05/02/2025: Had an excellent meal and returned again the second day as it was so good. Visited on a work group so travelled with a large group. It was the most enjoyable experience during my stay in Kells. Top class service and a cosy environment. The restaurant was worth visit and hope to try it again on my next trip.

25/03/2025: Was there this evening for my nieces confirmation and it was lovely. I have to say the food was amazing. I had the salmon and it was fab. A few of us had pasta dishes and they were good big portions. Atmosphere was lovely too. Definitely reccomend it
20/03/2025: We are regular visitors to Jack’s and recently held a 60th birthday celebration there. It was absolutely fantastic! Kelly and the staff were excellent—so friendly and welcoming. The service was brilliant, and we love the great atmosphere. We’ll definitely continue coming back!

i can’t recommend The Blackwater in Kells enough! Not only is the food and atmosphere top-notch, but the staff go above and beyond. Trish, in particular, was incredible—so kind, caring, and thoughtful. She even went out of her way to drop us home, which was beyond generous. It’s rare to find such amazing hospitality these days. We’ll definitely be back—thank you, Trish, for making our experience unforgettable!

05/01/2025: Can't believe they rased the price of an oat coffie by 75c said it was down to the cost of oat and soya and Almond milk so anything other then normal milk is up 75c at the coffie spot.

28/10/2024: A great friedly local. Our second time to visit this establishment. Very friendly owners and the locals, too. They don't serve food here. Gents toilets stink but are fairly modern. Women's toilets are fine. A bit of bleach wouldn't go astray.
