12/11/2025: My daughter, Khristina, who lives in this town, thinks this is the best restaurant in Navan. Based on her experience, I completely agree. The fact that you need to book a table in advance also speaks volumes. The atmosphere isn't just cozy, it's family-like, and even the sheer number of customers didn't detract from that. There were couples and numerous groups of people of all ages. My heart was set on a rack, and it was superb! I made the risky decision to pair it with shrimp. Many people believe that seafood shouldn't be paired with meat. But, as my experience at Zucchini showed, such notions are the deep-seated misconceptions of gastronomic fanatics. The family treated themselves to a selection of delicacies, among which I'd especially like to highlight the duck, which we usually know by its Peking version. But this restaurant far surpassed all Chinese traditionalists, offering tender, large, and juicy pieces of meat, elegantly accompanied by modest side dishes that didn't distract from the headliner. To avoid making the review too cloying, I sigh that the selection could have included a wider selection of Irish beers, and not just the lone, undisputed Guinness. And now a toast: to the health of this restaurant's chef!

11/11/2025: Food was really good here. Service was quick and professional. Wait staff had good knowledge of meals. I'd say a small size restaurant but decorated lovely and tables are not on top of each other. We'll definitely be back as we wanted everything on the menu :)

20/11/2025: An absolutely stunning little spot hiding in plain sight. It is seldom I can eat from anywhere not at home and taste that the food was made with love & care. Their chef even somehow made eating Garlic Cheese Chips new & exciting! Considering the present economy, their food is priced with impeccable fairness & their selection of dishes in terms of variety is second to none. Please, always tip the servers, the lush atmosphere here is invoked thanks to service that would befit royalty.

17/11/2025: Probably up there with one of the best lunch spots in the country honestly. Just simple delicious dishes done really really well, Great service always and the coffee is lovely as well 🫡

09/11/2025: Been a while since ai was in ayeah Burgr and I won't be leaving it as long in future. Forgot how good the burgers are. Good service. Good quality food and drinks. Definitely be back soon

21/10/2025: Went here for dinner and had a delicious meal. We were looked after by Nick and I have to say he was so so lovely, attentive and on the ball. Will be back!

07/12/2025: Oh Luvida...you gem! I'm gonna use the word "perfect" a lot in this review! I had the dumplings to start and the Seafood Pasta for mains...well that seafood pasta was gorgeous...muscles in shell, loads of juicy prawns, a few battered calamari rings and a slab of white fish with the skin perfectly crispy...all perfectly prepared and the sauce was a level past next! 👌🏻 honestly, a seafood pasta is a surprisingly difficult dish to get right...lads, that sauce 🫶🏻! I'm in luv!! And let's just say that slice of perfectly toasted garlic bread was the perfect mop for the sauce too...10/10!! 🙌🏻 I'll be back!! I had the special Strawberry Basque Cheesecake for dessert...it was all kinda perfect too! He had the Baked Alaska 👌🏻 But then she who sat next to me, ordered the Cherry Drop 🍒 special cocktail after dinner...well...speechless...wish I'd ordered a bottle of that instead of the Malbec...delicious too BTW! We had a treat...fabulously lovely staff...great food ...warm & cosy atmosphere! I know where he's taking me for Date Night next month!! 🥇

09/11/2025: For visitors to Navan, I'll clarify that the establishment has two areas: the pub proper and a separate restaurant. The former looks simple and suggests that patrons are there for a drink (and why else?). The restaurant is a contrasting experience, perfectly suited for families with children. The food is quite decent, so if you're looking for a simple meal without touching any alcohol, the establishment offers that option as well. In the restaurant area, the only clue that The Round O Bar is a pub is the few beer taps on the bar. The menu isn't particularly specific, offering an international, but most importantly, delicious selection of dishes. I ordered a Viennese burger and was pleased. My companions weren't disappointed either, despite some initial skepticism from one of them. Incidentally, we also drank beer.

29/11/2025: Top class family meal. We were running about 30 mins late for our 8 pm booking. Phoned ahead to apologise - no problem. Our table for 6 was ready for us at 8.30 and we were seated immediately. We had a mix of small plates and mains. Everything was delightful. The duck parcels were a huge hit with three of our party. Chicken Tenders were beautifully presented and really good as a starter. Fish and chips was really substantially and very tasty. Sea Trout was gorgeous, served with a light sauce. Surf & Turf cooked exactly as ordered. There was a wide selection of vegan options for one of our party and the fettuccine chosen was a big hit. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. Good value at just over €300 for starters, mains, desserts, coffee and drinks for 6 hungry people, and no sense of being hurried, despite finishing up after 11 pm. Not a a single issue for complaint. Highly recommended.

28/10/2025: Sat in with my girlfriend on Thursday afternoon and the food and service was fantastic. The waitress was excellent informing us of the sauces, wines and explained to us about how the chef prepared our mains. You can tell a lot of pride and joy goes into this establishment and it reflects in the food and staff. Definitely will return and I recommend the saag paneer it was the nicest I've ever had.
