04/09/2025: Really enjoyed this restaurant with my husband. I had the duck , which was sooooo yummy and my husband had the steak and we both devoured our food. The staff were absolutely brilliant and soo friendly. We really felt very comfortable here

13/07/2025: We parked in the shopping car park and as soon as we walked out we spotted this coffee shop . We had the most delicious BLTs and iced coffees, the food and service was wonderful , thank you Barbara !
10/06/2025: My new fave coffee shop š„° The coffee is the best in town! Ready to drink temp so if you like an extra hot coffee ask for it to be extra hot! I got a toasty & it was the best toasty Iāve ever had! Delicious! Lovely cosy little spot, we sat outside in one their pods and was lovely! The staff are lovely, especially the young lad!!!

Weāre married 26 years now, but anytime weāre heading up to Cavan, the wee treat was Pizza Dāor

08/07/2025: Probably a good spot after shopping, the terasse is convenient. You don't come for the surroundings. What put me off is the price of the coffee and for that it's going to be the first and last time. 4.10ā¬ for a cappuccino and 4.70ā¬ for a non dairy (yeah I'm lactose intolerant not a fancy dub)
It's the price you'd pay in London. As far as I can see Monaghan is far from being London. Now if it's because of the rent, it's a shame. Anyway too expensive (4.5ā¬ a piece of cake... )

23/11/2025: Had burgers, deep fried Brie, chicken wings that tasted reheated for the 3rd time, brownie and Baileyās cheesecake for Desert. The burgers had no veg, just bun and the burger, dry. Worst burgers weāve eaten. Very underwhelming, in fact disappointing. In terms of the atmosphere, at first there was no music playing, you could hear everyoneās conversation and them eating their food. I asked the waitress for music and then apparently they turned it on but it was very quiet. So I asked the guy who looked like a manager if the music could be turned up louder on this side of the restaurant, he kinda responded in an annoyed tone and the waitress girl was scared to ask him again I told her Iāll ask him myself. Anyways, the food didnāt make up for it. Also the sauce on the brownie was cold, makes no sense. We didnāt get a menu for like 10-20 minutes. Wonāt be back

03/01/2026: The receptionist that checked us in was clueless with regards to dinner in the bar and breakfast times. He told us that the bar accepted walk in customers and that the bar was not at all busy on Fri evening. Alas, the opposite was true and the bar was packed. We were catered for in a function room. The poor man also needs to be updated on breakfast times as his current time of 7am to 10am is incorrect.
The indoor pool was quite cold considering the time of year too. It also took a while for the rooms heating to come on given the cold spell that we are currently experiencing. Finally there appeared to be no noise policy in operation as I was awoken three times by very loud guests at various hours of the early morning.
On the plus side the room was very spacious for a family of four and the bathroom facilities were top notch. The staff member who served us our food was very friendly, chatty and overall very nice. He definitely deserves a raise!!
