The best restaurants in Shannonbridge

18/03/2026: Went for a wee dive to Shannonbridge and called in for a coffee. There was 5 of us. The owner came straight over to us and started chatting. He was very friendly and showed us the original bar. The coffees were lovely as was the staff.

08/03/2026: Went for first time on Thursday. Food looked lovely. My friend had the Guinness and beef stew. A good portion which after the first few bites was impossible to finish due to being served smothered in salt. I had the butterfly chicken fillet burger. Again a generous portion which was very tasty until I too hit a wall of salt. I know its the practice in pubs so that you will drink more, but this was overkill. It ruined what should have been a lovely meal. So will not visit again. On a positive note each one of the staff were absolutely amazing. They are a credit to Killeens. For the staff alone I might reconsider a return visit but the chef would need to lay off the salt.

04/03/2026: Had a bad experience here previously and decided to give it a chance again as its local and the kitchen changed since. My first experience was getting a full irish, only to find a half eaten smoked salmon under the rashers..... Someone's leftovers. Tried it a lately, order 2 rashers, 2 sausages, tea and toast. Food landed without the toast and I eventually had to sdk for it 10+ minutes after and by then the food was cold. Owner didnt charge but told me(in front of customer's)he'd had trouble with me before. Im disgusted and WILL NEVER go back again with his attitude. Get it right or don't bother!!!!
