30/11/2024: Check in was pleasant and professional, we stayed on the top floor where rooms were refurbished. Rooms were fine , wouldn’t call them luxurious but had everything you need and beds were extremely comfortable. It was my birthday and when arriving in my room there was a lovely hand written card wishing me happy birthday and a small box of butler’s chocolates which I thought was amazing and made my day . We eat in the bar on both nights and food was ok but expensive enough ten chunky chips for 5 euro that’s 50 cent per chip which is crazy . Staff in bar were so slow , you ordered a drink and it was always around 15 to 20 mins before you got it but saying that there was one member of staff who was very professional friendly and her service was quick . She asked us after we ordered if we would like water as well as a drink with our food any other time I had to go and get our own . Her name was Karen and when I pointed out to her that she was the first lounge staff whose service was good she thanked us and told us she was only working in the bar two days but had previously worked in the restaurant. I think Karen could teach the rest of the staff there how to serve properly . Storm Bert had hit that weekend so we did not leave the hotel but there was entertainment which we enjoyed . Overall we enjoyed the Arklow hotel and will be back soon and hopefully by then they will have this ladies Karen supervising the other staff and they will all be as good as her

26/11/2024: Arklow is a hidden gem. I loved the atmosphere.

10/11/2024: We had two crepes salted caramel was delicious. Nutella was was bit dry i guess if they can keep nutella inside the crepe will give it better taste and texture

03/11/2024: pros: Lovely atmosphere and surrounding. nice ambience. cons: crepes are smaller than before and a bit tasteless. I am still hungry after eating although I am not asking for a special diet. It seems like the management has changed. it was more nutritious before.

03/10/2024: I love the Woodlands restaurant! Food is so good and the service is great, very nice people are working there!

22/06/2024: One of the handful of restaurants that actually live up to the hype. The food is incredibly good; the service exceptional. Shoutout to Tareq and Samantha for accommodating our requests - the staff is a lovely bunch. PS: the view is stunning too!
