03/05/2025: Came by this pub by off chance when me and my mate were doing a tour of west coast of Ireland. Coming in early evening we were only intending to stay for a couple but Christine the landlady her partner Mike and Martin one of the regulars made us feel so welcome we ended staying a bit longer and leaving in the early hours, with Martins wife giving us a lift back to our camper van Loved it so much was really tempted to come back for the jazz festival in the village at the end of May but unable to due to work commitments. I do know if you decide to visit you will made to feel very welcome.

29/10/2024: I have always liked going to this place as it seems a little more up market than the usual Shannon Industrial places you go to eat lunch. Today I was not happy. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, waitress asked what salad do you want and I said whatever salad is available except egg.. it was a pretty clear instruction. we were the only ones there at the time as it was just turned 12pm. What I got was a toasted ham cheese and onion sandwich! not even close to chicken. I told the waitress straight away and not even a "sorry our mistake" was uttered. she then went about ordering the sandwich again and from the distance she called over and said "do you want lettuce" I said yes please, I want white bread, no butter, and what ever salad is available with chicken as long as there is no egg.. I sat and waited until 12.26 and had to actually go ask the waitress to see if my sandwich was ready as I had not been waiting almost half an hour. she slowly walked off to the kitchen and came out with it straight away.. again it was not what I ordered, I got a dry chicken and lettuce sandwich which I was now forced to eat as I was already running late to return back to work. When I complained as I was paying she said "its a make you own sandwich, you have to pick what you want in it" to which I told her I DID PICK WHAT I WANTED .. "I asked for a chicken salad sandwich, when you asked what salad I said all of the salad whatever is available" ... again I didnt get a sorry or any kind of reply just !do you want your receipt".. I wont be eating there again if you cant even get a chicken salad sandwich right! ... I must add, I have ordered this before and it came out quickly and perfect, todays issue was with the waitress who ordered it wrong twice..
