21/08/2026: Very disappointed, usually top marks when visiting but ate here today and not pleased at all. The food was frozen and not the best flavour wise, other family members plates were also frozen food 😒 literally had a plate of frozen chips with my 'main' as the side. Not happy and won't be returning sadly.

03/10/2026: Always unfortunate that Google does not allow half stars. The Moorland (by McCluskey's) is a true town institution, a cherished landmark and a must-visit for anyone seeking good food in Drogheda. In a town that has suffered years of decline and the loss of many local favourites, The Moorland remains a constant, serving quality food with the consistency and warmth that have made it part of the community fabric. Never quite high end with very average coffee,, hence the missing half star, but still one of the town's enduring success stories and somewhere I would happily recommend time and again.
01/10/2026: Crushed ice doesn't go in an iced matcha and the use of AI posters is pretty disapointing.

17/08/2026: Consistenly good. Spacious with plenty of different types of seating. Top service. Chilled background music at just the right volume. The egg mayo sandwich has regrettably disappeared from the menu 😕

08/12/2025: Called in here on Saturday night, nice atmosphere, good crowd but not overcrowded, enjoyed the band and great pints. We'll be back again.
26/07/2025: The Phoenix Park cafe is in a great location. The owners have the luxury of getting a captive audience due to the volume of people visiting the park and the lack of places to eat. I feel that the food has gone downhill. I’ve been consistently disappointed with the last few visits. My last visit was at the end of June. We all ordered lasagne and the food was dry and tasteless. There was a lack of choice of salads on the day that we visited. This restaurant used to be great. It’s a shame.
