06/09/2026: I have breakfast here 3/4 times a month when visiting family, some days the breakfast is really good and others not so good. Yesterday (Saturday) I had a really good breakfast I think the waitress said the chef was Carrie (apologies if I am wrong) but today (Sunday) it was just ok and nowhere as good as the day prior. This place needs to work on consistency, shouldn't really be able to tell if different chefs are working as all food should be leaving the kitchen the same. Had a peak at todays menu, the allergens numbers put down but no allergen key given, alot of allergens missing off of dishes and a couple of spelling mistakes, also and no allergens done for desserts.
Overall the front of house team are lovely, its really well priced, and the food is really good when you go in and the right chef is working.

04/08/2026: Jack was our saviour and let us camp out back for the night. Great atmosphere, great hospitality. Everyone made sure we had everything we needed to keep us going on our journey cycling from Dublin to Spain.
20/07/2026: Had to send my fish and chips back to the kitchen as soon as it arrived because the portion of fish was so small. The staff was pleasant and when she brought a new piece out, it was still small but she said it was an 8 ounce. This place seems to think fish is served in weights similar to steaks, utterly unbelievable.

18/06/2026: John and I had a delicious breakfast yesterday, the fact that you can build your own was great, it takes a host with a lot of vision to recognise that this is the way to go. Bright and airy with a nice atmosphere and great service Richard and Helene created something beautiful to add on to their Hotel that Duncannon really needed. Well done.

28/06/2026: Me and my partner went In yesterday for lunch and the cafe floor and tables were filty and 3 staff on the counter and no costumers at the counter at the time there was no clean tables to sit at and we had to clear a table to sit at if I had seen it before I ordered I would have left it.i took pictures to prove the mess but no option here to post them because it was really bad

The Tavern Bar

22/06/2026: Good pub that serves food, pints are reasonably priced. 6.50 for a lager. The food is good and the portions are big. They have TVs and a pool table. There's also a large outdoor seating area, perfect for those nice days!

The Ivy Bar & Cafe

17/07/2024: Had carvery lunch in the ivy bar on Sunday, was beautiful couldn't fault it.
However went for an evening meal later in the week, ordered a medium fillet steak and a Korean chicken burger, steak arrived went done close to burnt, chicken burger also burnt and missing half its toppings. Took over half an hour to come out, desperately slow. Eventually got the attention of a waiter who took it back and returned 10 minutes later to say they are making a replacement, the manager Eventually came down with a very fake apology, 25 minutes later a medium steak which was nice arrived, 55 minutes for a medium steak isn't acceptable, the staff on the till new asked had the manager mentioned a discount which she happened, so she had to check and the instruction to her was take off 4 euro off a 30 quid steak, not acceptable won't be back.
