15/08/2026: To be honest it was quite loud
there was a birthday party behind us and they were having a ball
There was a man beside me and he had to take out his hearing aids that made me laugh 😃 . Put that aside everything else was beautiful food ,staff and most of all the company I was with 😉
I would recommend booking as it is a small restaurant
If u love seafood
I highly recommend this place as u will not be disappointed.

Delicious Asian fusion, and plentiful in the best way — no tiny artful portions, just real, flavorful food you actually get full from.
Warm atmosphere, beautiful decor everywhere you look, the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in. Service was super nice, welcoming, and accommodated every wish without making you feel needy.
Bonus: parking is easy, just 1 minute away by the promenade. No circling the block for 20 minutes.
Great food, great vibe, great people. I’ll be back.

02/03/2026: Grab a poke bowl for on the go. Food is nice enough to go again. I enjoyed mine, the daughter found it average. We both ordered the salmon.
Im coeliac and the staff (although lovely) didnt know anything about it. Luckily, they have the allergins on the wall.
Its a quaint food stall in the Blackrock Market laneway. No parking nearby.

24/08/2026: I’m really upset with this place, they charged almost DOUBLE of the food, I paid €24,50 for half fried rice that in the menu was €12,50 and they charged me €12 extra and the food wasn’t that good. I am really really upset with that, they have to pay attention to this. Look what I paid almost €25 for and this price with NO DRINKS

03/10/2026: The Ivy was nice enough, but honestly, nothing special for the price. The food was okay, but I felt it was very overpriced for what it was. Overall, it was an average experience, and I wouldn’t say it lived up to the hype. There are plenty of places where you could get a similar experience for a much more reasonable price.
29/09/2026: The food was excellent and I had a really good time, this was my second time going to The Ivy. It was my sisters Birthday and the waitress Jose Antonio was excellent with us.

29/06/2025: Wollte zur "Happy Hour" ein paar kleine Austern verspeisen und hatte mich wirklich schon gefreut...setze mich hin und bestelle 6 Stück...nach 5min kommt der Wein, leider keine Austern dazu. Nach weiteren 15min höfliche Nachfrage, es dauert noch weil andere Bestellungen vor mir. Nach weiteren 20min immer noch keine Austern, auf Nachfrage "es würde nicht mehr lange dauern", Wein nachgeordert mit dem dezenten Hinweis, dass der wohl hoffentlich aufs Haus geht. Nach weiteren 15min (kein Witz) kamen dann endlich 6 schlecht geöffnete Austern, mein Wein war leer und es gab auch keinen Nachschlag. Beim Zahlen dann auch keine Happy Hour und auf dann eher verärgerte Nachfrage nach dem "Wein aufs Haus", insgesamt 38€ für 6 mickrige Austern und zwei zeitversetzte Weinchen und eine Stunde Zeitaufwand. Unglaublich und wirklich sehr enttäuschend, hat mir den Nachmittag ordentlich verdorben.

fountian fish n chips

24/07/2025: So *this* is what proper fish n chips is supposed to taste like. I've never been the biggest fan of the dish, disappointed numerous times, but this is a rare instance that the internet overlords of 'must visit' places is actually correct.
I tried to do a walk-in when they opened, but they were already booked for the afternoon. Luckily, the nice young lady offered an evening reservation, which I took. It ended up being quite relaxed and not crowded at about 17:00, so I was happy I took this option.
The haddock was about as perfect as I imagine fish n chips should be. The chips were quite good as well. And the tartare sauce is like opium. Had to get an extra heap of the stuff (it costs quite a bit extra).
Friendly staff... not a cheap outing, but well well worth it over that other Dublin chain restaurant that will remain nameless.
29/06/2025: ¡INCREÍBLE! Fish & Chips fuera de este mundo en este pequeño lugar con una excelente vibra. También tuvimos algunos calamares, ostras y excelente Sancerre. ¡No te pierdas esta joya!
