The owner was so friendly and welcoming, which made our experience even better. Perfect spot for a tasty, relaxing meal—highly recommend if you’re in Dalkey!

10/12/2024: Being a regular at the Ivy Glasgow and having visited Edinburgh Ivy in the Square, unfortunately The Ivy Dublin did not live up to expectation. As usual, the service and surroundings are first class, however, on this occasion, the food itself was very much a letdown. My wife's Eggs Benedict was an ample serving, very well cooked and presented but could have been a little warmer, however my traditional Irish breakfast, was very poor indeed. 1 small hard rasher of streaky bacon, 1 link "irish" sausage, 1 fried egg, 1 half slice of black pudding, 1 slice of mushroom, 1 half slice of tomato and a small ramekin of beans. The bacon was cold and hard, the tomato was lukewarm, the egg was not runny, the black pudding was rock hard and the beans were not warm enough. Unfortunately I had to send it back, which is not what I have come to expect from the Ivy. The next breakfast that came out was at least warm and cooked to a better standard, but it was only the accompanying pastries (still not sure if they belonged with a cooked breakfast) that allowed the serving to be filling enough for the day ahead. All in all, with a lukewarm pot of tea, the breakfast was a disappointment. In fairness, our servers were as always first class and resolved any issues we had, but overall the standard and quantity of food did not live up to the Ivy's usual impeccable standards

01/09/2024: If you are looking for a decent Italian espresso and a coffee that is more on the bitter side than acidic, this is your place to go! We enjoyed ours.

12/08/2024: Delight there was something gluten free to eat. Can I ask that you cover the cakes and add a separate tongs. Then there is better chance to minimise cross contamination. Maybe add a bit of training of staff needed to minimise they cross contaminating. Sorry for these demand from a coeliac. Coffee great . I'll be back
