28/07/2026: We stopped by O’Shea’s in Barry for an early lunch and had a great experience. There was no queue when we arrived, we received a warm welcome from the staff, and ordering was quick and easy. Less than five minutes later, our food was ready. We ordered the large box meals and the portions certainly lived up to the name! Everything was freshly cooked and piping hot. The chips were crispy without being greasy, and my chicken and mushroom pie was delicious – creamy filling, a crisp pastry lid, and a perfectly cooked case. The restaurant was clean, they accept card payments, and the overall service was excellent. We paid £38 for three large box meals (one of those being a large cod & chips), a bottle of Coke, two cans of drink, a pot of tartare sauce and a pot of curry. It’s probably a little more expensive than some local chip shops, but for a seafront location in Barry, we thought the prices were fair. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch and we’ll definitely be back.
