Not hard to understand why.
The chips were fantastic and the deep fried chicken just melted in your mouth.
Highly recommend it as a pit stop if you are passing

03/11/2025: A wonderful little cafe with a great selection of food both for lunch and breakfast, I really like the fact they had an all day breakfast menu cause usually breakfast is stopped being served at a certain time for certain cafes but this one didn't disappoint, the staff are lovely, the only downside is if it's busy it fills up fast as it isn't the biggest area inside but that can't also be helped. Overall a nice little cafe.

15/11/2025: The worst expirience with restaurant in clonmel...I had reservation 18.30 we waiting for table over 40 min and nothing finally we change reataurant...I understand they were busy but why did they take our resrvation a few day beforehand.... I'm generally very disappointed as it is also my birthday, I wish they gave us a call to warn us about how full they were so we could plan ahead, overall its ridiculous that we waited so long for a table we reserved days beforehand that we didn't even get as we ended up leaving😡😡😡

30/09/2025: Probably the best chinese I ever had. Had the irish whiskey sliced fillet steak. It was unreal. I was visiting clonmel from belfast and will he back next month. I would not leave without eating here again ....wow !! Unreal. They even nipped to pub for beer for us.

26/04/2025: Organised a hen party here recently and I highly recommend! Ronan was so hospitable and hands on from the moment I texted enquiring about hosting it there. We did the cocktail class and it was a hit throughout! Fabulous cocktails that everyone enjoyed. Ronan is an incredible mixologist!! Thanks so much for making the organising a total breeze!! And thank you to all the kind, pleasant staff who made the night a total success, we will be back!

14/10/2025: The best coffee in Clonmel. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are so friendly.
06/09/2025: The food & coffee was fantastic. I was so looking forward to coming here, but it felt like one was an imposition and it's a bother that one orders coffee. On the day I was there, 2 younger women were working. Maybe it was bad luck or they had a bad day, but I did not feel welcome at all.
It's also a shame that there are no toilets despite there being a seating area.
Sadly, I won't be coming back.

06/09/2025: I ate from here one evening. Not in the restaurant though…just had the chow mean and spring rolls…chow mein was tasty but I usually get it in a barbecue sauce from other places without having to say that in the order.
I’ll have to check that next time before ordering. Apart from that, the food is good. The spring rolls were nice although greasy to touch…the dip was nice. I mixed the remainder of it into the chow mein to enhance the flavour a bit. It was a bit bland on the sauce side….if it was in a barbecue sauce it would be much tastier! Pagar is cheaper than other restaurants around town so that’s a big plus. Prices in restaurants are going up but standard aren’t.

23/07/2025: We stopped here on our road trip around the Atlantic way coast. Just had a couple of drinks but came back the following evening to have a meal and hear some traditional Irish music from the live performers.
The food was really good. I had the Guinness beef casserole and my wife the special lamb stew. Both dishes were excellent, and we finished by sharing the apple pie and ice cream. That was so good, great pastry and filling. The serving staff were all so friendly and the lady who seem to be in charge couldn’t have been more helpful by seating us where we could see the live music.
Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

We only went to the restaurant. We have a baby and we went in with his stroller without any problems via the main staircase.
The food was delicious!
Everything was very fresh and of the best quality.
Super affordable prices.
And to top it all off, the attention to detail, politeness, and cleanliness were excellent.
