The best restaurants in New ross

17/10/2024: Delightful restaurant and great service. Love the menu choices.

14/09/2024: Very good food, short waiting time, very nice service. The space is a bit claustrophobic, but it doesn't bother me and actually suits the place.

19/10/2024: One of our favourite places to eat out at, but this time we were disappointed with one of the main dishes. We had the duck pate to start with, which was delicious. Our mains were two burgers with bacon and cheese and a haddock deep fried in bread crumbs with chips and peas. We had chips and salad with the burgers. The burgers were very good but the fish must have been sitting around while the burgers were being cooked, as it was greasy and chewy. It is a shame, because this is the first time that we have had a less than good meal at Mannions. We did mention it to the staff when we were paying and they did offer a discount but as my husband had eaten the fish, we paid the full price. With New Ross being so close to the sea and fish readily available it was a shame that this dish was not treated with respect. Will eat there again but maybe not have the fish.

29/10/2024: Great food, hidden gem of Indian restaurant in eastern Ireland. It's an award winning restaurant serving delicious Indian cuisine (and others). Seems to be a local favourite for takeaway. I underestimated the taste and authenticity of food, was pleasantly surprised. Must visit.

21/08/2024: Awful food. Chicken curry about 3 pieces of chicken in it. Poopadoms were soft and couldn’t eat them. Staff couldn’t be less bothered when collecting takeaway. Very uninterested in her job. Will never go near the place again

17/08/2024: Had a fab bowl of mushroom soup here on a rainy day. It was freshly made and the soda bread that came with it was delicious. Great price too. Nice quiet spot to sit and watch the world go by through the big window. Quaint atmosphere inside the pub and staff were very friendly.

21/09/2024: We had a good breakfast after all day on the ferry to Rosslare, lovely staff, tasty dishes and drinks. Definetly not the cheapest, but I would go again!

27/08/2024: Had the cajun chicken today which was absolutely gorgeous. The fresh fruit and seeds were a lovely touch. Was on my own but sat up at a counter and ended up having a good chat with 2 strangers. Very enjoyable experience. Will return.

07/09/2024: Worst experience of my life, came here on thursday the 29/09 , we were three adults and a new born baby , the manager seated us and left and forgot about us, and came back to apologise , after waiting 20 mins for menus, we then ordered something cheap and cheerful, I got the chicken ciabatta and my partner and mother got the chowder, the chowder was dosed in veg bouillon , and my the ciabatta wasn’t toasted it was like someone got it and put It in a bag and boiled it, the service was outrageous the manager then took our drinks order and it was a cocoa cola and two small guinesses , we waited 2 mins for the cola and 20’mins for the Guinness , and when we got the guinness it was cloudy and not drawn at all properly, I would never recommend this place due to the manager , and his staff, and food . Only good thing about the place was the customers who faked to have a good experience

23/08/2024: Had lunch here on the way through. We were actually hoping to eat on the ship, but it seemed to only be for groups. But it was also cozy in the restaurant and we had a delicious meal. Thanks for the hospitality.
