M. Fitzgerald's: A Galway Gem
M. Fitzgerald's in Galway is a fantastic dining experience. The food is simply delicious! The fish and chips were crispy and perfectly cooked, the bangers and mash were hearty and flavorful, and the thief burgers were juicy and generously sized.
But what truly sets M. Fitzgerald's apart is the exceptional service. Our server was outstanding – knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. They made our dining experience truly memorable.
If you're looking for great food and even better service in Galway, M. Fitzgerald's is the place to be.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious! They even have live music. Atmosphere feels like a mix between retro and Victorian. Totally fun! I got the steak sandwich which had caramelized onions and a delicious sauce. The fries came with gravy for dipping. My husband got the bangers and mash. He said they also were quite delicious. If you're looking for a great place for a bite and or drink, look no further than here!

After a morning of exploring Galway, it was time for a drink and M. Fitzgerald's hit the spot. Located along the busy district of Quay Street, it wasn't too busy in here at lunch time.
Sitting at the bar with a beer, this is a lovely and comfortable spot. The beer is cold, the music isn't loud and the seating is nice. I'm a fan.

The live music was great! There are TV screens in the other rooms to see the band if there isn't space to sit in the main bar area. Service was quick.

We were here on August 15th around 5 p.m. for dinner. Walked in, not busy, but make a reservation as it picked up and is very busy on the weekend.
Nice staff. Our server, Kellie, was a delight as were other staff that stopped by or assisted.
Drinks were brought quickly. Guinness (€6.10), Hop House Lager (€6.70), Malbec (€8), and Coke (€3.40).
Starters were Chowder (€9.50) and Duck Speing Rolls (€7.50) were good.
Mains of Mussels in white wine (€17.50), Fish & Chips (€17.90), Steak Burger (€17.90), and Bangers & Mash (€15.90) were all very tasty and large portioned.
Located in the city center on a side lane amongst a lot of pubs and restaurants, it is a good choice to make.
Recommended.

This is a good pub in the heart of quay street which is busy and friendly and has outdoor seating under heat lamps. Great for people watching and with a good selection of beers and craft beers.
