The folks here were cool, super chill and fun, atmosphere was friendly and chatty, but the food... Meh

This place is amazing the food is top knotch and the staff are so friendly. Crowded or not you get the same great service. My go to when in Galway!

Good pint of Guinness. Great location. The bartender was from Australia and very good.

Visited Fitzgeralds in August with my partner. Place was quiet inside, though outside on Quay Street it felt like leaving Croke Park on All-Ireland Final day (come on Galway 2026 🤞). Service at first was slow – staff seemed busy avoiding eye contact – but once we got served, things improved a little. I ordered seafood chowder and a toastie, my partner went for chowder and a ciabatta. Chowder? Sadly more like flavoured cardboard. The toastie though… hands down the finest toastie I’ve ever had in my life. Worth a return trip for that alone. My partner wasn’t as lucky – both her dishes were a flop. Nice old Galway walls inside and a friendly barman gave me a bit of history, which was a highlight. I’ll give it another go, but my partner might not! Galway is still the best place in Ireland 🇮🇪

L'accueil et le service sont efficaces et sympathiques. L'ambiance - musique live - est au top. Très bonnes bières et plats de poissons ou moules.

Pasamos bastante tiempo aquí un día! Pare para las bebidas a la hora del almuerzo y terminó reservando para la cena! Disfrutamos de las bromas con el personal del bar y la comida era genial también. Era un plus tener música en vivo. Hermosa interpretación de Streets of London. ¡Katy Perry dice perdón por incendiar la servilleta!
