Afternoon Tea At the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey

We had lunch in the Ashdown Bar and Restaurant we both had haddock ...the fish itself was lovely but both the cauliflower and dressing it was served with was very disappointing barely cooked almost raw and impossible to eat ...it came with boiled potatoes which were not editable green inside we did get some chips as a replacement but equally poor...we had two coffees my coffee was cold and really just tasted like milk I did ask for it to be reheated bit it came back the same and I did not drink it...the Hotel is beautifully kept and the grounds are amazing...we have eaten in the bar on a few occasions and it was lovely but unfortunately not so on this visit...perhaps if we return it will be back to its usual high standard ...

Really enjoyed the hotel. Spacious rooms for bride and groom prep. Huge function room for wedding , great food and great service.one member of staff there for 21 years, which says it all . From Carlow Wedding Films.

Had our wedding reception here. We couldn't recommend the ashdown park Hotel enough. All of our guests had nothing but compliments about the hotel and staff. We had an amazing time here and can't wait to return again.

Excellent hotel i use the Gym here and very handy to Gorey Town centre

Staff were lovely polite .Just a few hints don't book breakfast after 945 they will be starting to clear and not much left..Try to get a.room away from the front of the hotel it's very noisy when people are out smoking or leaving the hotel at night.Rooms get very warm and you have yo open the windows so you wl hear all going on..But they will provide a fan if you request it..Over all it's lovely and staff are welcoming. Pool area is perfect.Make sure to bring a swimming hat!

I would like to thank Sinead and her team for a wonderful stay here at the Ashdown Park hotel - I have been coming here with my little boy for a many years now and the rooms are to a very high standard and cleaniness is impecciable, thank you. Very clean and decent rooms. The rooms are large and very useful. The bar and restaurant are great. The breakfast is a standard English breakfast and is sufficient.
