Afternoon Tea At the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey

The SPA in this hotel gets 10/10 from me And the rest is a bit worse. In general, the hotel looks great inside, I went to a wedding and on the good morning there was a crowd of wedding guests with cigarettes and alcohol at the main entrance (the hotel has two places for smoking cigarettes), which scared me (the hotel has two places to smoke cigarettes), then there were guests running around the entire hotel in a drunken state, which is not cool for other guests. . The hotel restaurant has disgusting food, I ordered wings crisps and got them, but they were either made two days in advance or from a bag for 10e. When I asked the waiter whether they were fresh or frozen, he hesitated to answer, so my friend came and said they were fresh. (We know how it was) for the second course I ordered a steak and I got the steak. It was the only one that was good because the side dishes, such as fries, were also from the previous day, as well as the arugula, disgusting, no tomatoes or onions. Average service. I don't recommend it. The middle room would need to be renovated and the bathroom thoroughly cleaned because while taking a shower I was repulsed by the crap coming out of the shower head. I got a room overlooking the street, but unfortunately you can hear everything at double volume. Plus, close to Aldi and Lidl.

I've been here for functions often but never stayed overnight. It's a handy location with good rail and road connections. It has a strong local support (hence all the functions) and very good service. The food was good, well presented, and served with sufficient faff to make me feel a wee bit pampered. View are distinctly urban but I did find the main function room's vista over "downtown" Gorey strangely captivating, especially as twilight set in and the town lights started to blink on.

Oh my.. all I can say is it's very deceiving from outside. Fabulous service the food was outstanding 👌 kudos to the chef for beautiful food bit not just easy on the eye the tastebuds were delighted .. a wonderful culinary experience and the spa treatments were more than I bargained for the team are fabulous music 🎶 dancing 💃 and overall cleanliness was great and pool facilities and gym amazing 👏 well done to know how to treat your customers and give a fantastic experience 😀

Beautiful hotel. In lovely surroundings. Staff very nice and helpful. Would recommend it.

Lovely hotel and I was given a beautiful large room, well equipped room with Expresso machine and tea/coffee making facilities, large TV, sofa, and king size bed. Staff were very welcoming and polite, hotel was very clean with a large carpark and just a short walk into the town.

Lovely place food is lovely the only thing that let's it down is the evening menu should have more choice
