We just dropped in for lunch after a lovely day at the Asha Spa. All the staff were lovely, especially our server Stella who went the extra mile. Can highly the corn on the cob side was gorgeous, the veg soup was a bit too thick but overall enjoyed our meal.
Spacious room, very comfortable bed but unfortunately shower was broken and there was no toilet brush in room

Lovely hotel. I was here recently for a family wedding and thouroughly enjoyed my two night stay.
It’s a beautiful venue with a nicely laid out amenities that make the place feel quite big despite all being nice and compact.
The rooms were comfortable clean and quite spacious (I was in a room booked for 3 adults and we never felt like we had overcrowded ourselves)
The function room for the wedding was great, nicely laid out with two bars on opposite sides, both open for a part of the night and one staying open till much later. The function room bathrooms provided two baskets of toiletries which was a nice touch.
The breakfast was great with a mix of buffet and kitchen prepared options available.
The swimming pool and leisure centre facilities were good.
We had the carvery dinner in the Ivy bar the second day and thouroughly enjoyed, plenty of food for what you paid for. (I had the beef)
All in all the only complaint I’d have (and shared by the two I stayed with) would be the attentiveness of the younger bar staff over the whole weekend. Multiple orders were gotten wrong and it became a frequent subject of conversation among people I knew and complete strangers I met at the bar who’d had an order mixed up or been waiting longer than normal to be served.
However I would recommend and would happily stay here again if I was in the area.

🔥 INCREDIBLE! This is the hotel that offers the luxury you are looking for.
If you want to forget about time and immerse yourself in a world of elegance and perfection, Ashdown Park Hotel is the place that will leave you speechless! From the moment you step inside, you can feel the atmosphere of sophistication – the scent of fresh flowers, the soft glow of crystal chandeliers, and the warm welcome make you feel like you’ve entered a fairytale.
The rooms? Pure luxury! A massive king-size bed that embraces you like a cloud, a balcony overlooking endless green gardens, and a bathroom fit for a Roman emperor. The attention to detail is astonishing – from the smart TV to the high-end toiletries. Every element is designed with your ultimate comfort in mind.
The staff? They don’t just serve – they make you feel like the most important person in the world. They remember your name, anticipate your needs (sometimes even before you do!), and always greet you with a warm smile.
And the restaurant, “The Garden Terrace”? A true culinary masterpiece!
Every bite is a feast for the senses.
The spa? It’s the hotel’s hidden gem! Aromatherapy massages that melt away stress in seconds, a sauna, and a pool with water that glows softly in the ambient light. You walk out feeling reborn.
And the mornings? They are magical. The only sound breaking the silence is the song of birds, reminding you that you are surrounded by nature.
Ashdown Park Hotel is not just a place to stay – it’s an experience that touches the soul.

Decent hotel but let down by quality of beds and price. Mattress creaked when I turned over and pillows lifeless. No air conditioning and our room opened onto car park where wedding guests were smoking or waiting for taxis around midnight. Breakfast was average compared to other places I have stayed in Ireland over many years. At 600 euros for 2 nights we were paying double the rate of a 4 star on the outskirts of London.
