I would have given this place 5 star is if wasn't for the staff. The staff are not very friendly and at times does not know what they are doing. There is one staff that is good that seems to be leading out guiding the rest of the staff. Food is a different level as they are fresh and taste incredible. I've eaten here many times and it's always busy. If the staff was trained properly it would be a 5 star review.

I tried salmon bento box and sake, both of them were really delicious. Atmosphere is awesome. Staff are lovely and answered all my questions. 🤓 Definitely planning to visit again for some sushi this time. 🤗

My favourite restaurant in Cork. Never lets me down. The food is amazing and good portions and great for the price, the atmosphere is really good, it’s always clean and the service is always attentive to your needs. Superb 💕

the service is nice. The rolls are fresh and big, so they didn't fit in my mouth completely 😃 The drinks are cool and served with ice - that's very good. I recommend it

We visited the place at around 7 pm. We were happy that the place is not packed and we are able to secure a seat. The atmosphere is very pleasant and they have a very wonderful staff and that’s the only reason why I’m giving a three rating rather than a one. I was very disappointed with the food that they served. It just looks nice but the taste is terrible. It felt that the person cooking it did not like what they are doing. The miso soup is fishy, the rice is not freshly prepared. It tastes like it was prepared yesterday and was just served to us. The rice was not even warm when it was served. The beef teriyaki seems to be heated from a microwave and the chef sushi could not even be called a “chef sushi”. The salmon also tastes like it was cooked in the morning and just reheated. I did not feel any freshness at all in the food preparation. This was one of the places I was looking forward to visit but it was a very disappointing experience. All that wonderful customer service and great ambiance only to be ruined by the food served.

my japanese go-to place at cork:) i've been truly mesmerized by politeness of the staff and their professionalism. i was served a miso soup before my tofu bento box arrived and it was beyond delicious:D the restaurant interior itself gives you impression being in japan, it's awesome. prices are incredibly low for the amazing food and amount of it! highly recommend this little gem<3

The food is undoubtedly good. There is a lot of room for the service to be improved.
