The food was really good and great value but they turned the music off over an hour before closing and it just felt super weird in here lol the server also seemed a bit annoyed? But it could have just felt that way because she was doing her tasks in an otherwise completely silent restaurant lol great food though, so maybe excellent for takeaway!

Had Chicken Gyoze, Chicken Karaage and Chicken Teriyaki and it was amazing. Delicious food and perfect ambience for a dine in with family and friends, will def visit next time as well ❤️❤️❤️

Coffee machine's sound so loud and food was chopped big peaces my chicken teriyaki's chicken was whole which means not chopped well and ramen was too much dark peppers big as well but i eat my dinner ty🙌🏻

Stumbled upon this little gem recently while walking around. Definitely worth a try! Reasonably priced and lots of options. Tried the bento box and got a little bit of everything.

Akira in Cork City is a must-visit! The food is delicious, the service is friendly and quick, and the prices are super affordable. If you're in the city center and craving Japanese cuisine, this spot won't disappoint.

Most food was good and decent value.
The tuna sushi we had was definitely not fresh, not bad, you couldn't smell it, but it was off taste-wise and I wouldn't have gone in for a second piece.
All the other dishes we got were good, but not exceptional. Restaurant was very beautiful however.
EDIT:
After visiting again, the quality seems to have improved substantially. It's excellent value and quite delicious, albeit a little same-y between different dishes.
Akira is an exceptional dining spot! The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is outstanding. The waitstaff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food is absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service!

We had the Sukiyaki to share and it was wonderful ! Not only did the dish come very quick, but all the veggies felt very fresh, the broth was very good. We ended eating quite a lot, good quality, for a very reasonable price. Also we liked the fact that tea is refilled quite frequently. Good spot !
