09/10/2026: I always order food from here on the weekend. Food was good as always. But the thing that very disappointed is they often forget toys for my kids. The kids were excited to get toys but got food without toys so many times 😔
04/08/2026: This outlet offers a range of takeaway options in a single store which is convenient if you're struggling to decide what floats your boat on the day of your visit. The service is fairly quick and we did not have to wait long for our pizza. It's a good option for a fast takeaway and it also has a seating area if you wish to eat in.

The Dark Horse Bar & Kitchen

24/09/2026: A fairly large pub with an extensive menu. There are pool tables upstairs. Food isn't served everywhere, but you can order drinks to enjoy at the pool table. The staff gives you a very friendly welcome at the entrance and promptly shows you to a table. Everyone on the team is knowledgeable about the daily specials and can also provide information about all the other dishes on the menu. Despite the pub being relatively busy, the wait for food is quite short. All the food is fresh and homemade. Definitely recommended for a visit to Athlone.
