Algiers Inn in Baltimore

Very good dishes, a tad expensive tho 😅

Not a gastropub to walk past. I went here about 3 or 4 times during my one week long stay in this area. The tacos are a must try and cocktails are great too. Don't be afraid to ask the staff for recommendations! Cocktails: I tried several cocktails over here, all the ones I tried were great. There were some really interesting ones. My favourite in terms of flavour was the pink gin cocktail, highly recommend it! Mains: Tacos - Definitely the highlight dish of this place. You can mix and match, so I went for the Fish Taco (centre), the carnitas taco (left) and chicken taco (right). The chicken taco was delicious, definitely a must-have. Carnitas taco was great too, the salsa verde in this was out of this world. The fish taco was good, but probably my least favourite of the three. Chicken burger with fries - The chicken burger was nice, the fries were great, seemed like a shorter version of shoestring fries. Good portion size too. Pulled pork sliders: A serving of 3 sliders. Had this to go. Not bad, but I wouldn't go for it again. Desserts: Sticky toffee pudding - This is the only dessert I tried. A nice sticky toffee pudding but nothing out of the ordinary. Quite heavy. Service: Staff are very sound, knowledgeable and helpful. Asked for recommendations and they were very able to describe what each dish is, why it would be good to go for, and their recommendations did not disappoint! Atmosphere: Perfect place for multiple types of occasions at different times. During the day, it’s a very casual place to have drinks and even grab lunch. For dinner, this place becomes more of a semi formal dining place, but there are still areas of the pub where you can have a more relaxing time with a couple of drinks. The music was always good, not too loud but more of the classics that crowds would like. They also have a beer garden but I never got the chance to visit that.

Insanely good food and vibes. We now always visit when we are in Baltimore. As good as Dede’s next door but at a fraction of the price (ok small exaggeration). Deserves a star itself. Bill and team are always warm and friendly. I recommend the fish or cauliflower tacos. The lamb tagine on special was outstanding - mum and Brian had it, I had a nibble even though I don’t eat meat! Beers are great. Recommend the local brewery’s Sherkin Lass or Beacon of Hops. I love that they focus on California/mex cuisine. Mexican food is my favourite food. But also mix it up in that California way with North Africa on the soecials.

Stopped in as a group of 5. Asked if we could just order appetizers and sides. No problem..excellent service..excellent food and a very cool space to enjoy it all. I'll be back.

An atmospheric restaurant in the city center. Its name refers to a historic event in 1631, when pirates from Algiers invaded the town and kidnapped all the inhabitants. Only two people returned from captivity. The menu is traditional, yet enhanced with African spices. The decor evokes Arab and Berber culture. A unique history and a unique place. I highly recommend it.

The Algiers is a wonderful place for a delicious supper or a great brunch. If you’re not hungry it does a great pint.

Excellent food and drinks and lovely ambience on a Monday evening in beautiful Baltimore. Really enjoyed the meatballs, boneless wings and patatas braves finished off with 2 delicious desserts of key lime pie and churros. Also enjoyed a couple of nice cocktails and bottle of wine. Staff were excellent so allin all it id highly recommended.

It wasn't busy at all. Not a really wide selection of food.

This place was so cool! After hiking for like 3 hours on Sherkin we desperately needed to rest and this place did not disappoint. The food? INSANELY GOOD! Even their desert was top notch. It was decorated so well too. if I ever go back to Ireland I am for sure coming back here. 12/10
