The Allihies Copper Mine Museum is a small but extremely informative museum – lovingly designed and full of fascinating insights into the history of copper mining in this region. The exhibition is presented in a modern style and impressively conveys how hard and deprived the lives of the miners once were.
The personal atmosphere is particularly pleasant: you can feel the dedication with which the museum is run. The location in the picturesque village of Allihies, surrounded by impressive coastal scenery, also makes a visit a special experience.
A small, yet exquisite museum that should not be missed – highly recommended!

Beautiful location, delicious food and great service. The €7.00 for the museum was seriously overpriced. Interesting but small and not worth it

Been to his wonderful museum before and only came back for the outstanding cake in the cafe, but it's a cool day so fish chowder seemed a better option. Good size portions full of large chunks of Salmon, Cod & smoked Haddock served with thick sliced seeded bread, all delicious. Staff warm and welcoming, Venue very clean and tidy 😀 We'll be back.

Interesting museum. It's very small and contains a lot of exhibits – unfortunately, many of them without any explanations. For example, at the entrance, there are many photos on a screen, but the information is lacking. Overall, the museum could use at least twice as much space, and the exhibition needs to be made much more user-friendly.
It's very noisy in the space (a former church).
The café is nice, with delicious cakes and friendly staff. There's a small garden with a pond at the back.
Didn't actually visit the museum just went in for lunch. The cafe is excellent. I did walk many of the mining trails and the information plaques were very good.

the South Kerry rural Men's Group had a visit to the Allihies Copper Mine recently, the group thoroughly enjoyed the visit, the staff and tour guides were warm & friendly, and gave us a very good history of the Museum.

This museum was small but very modern, with interactive exhibits that give you a feel of the scale of the mines, and tells the importance of mining to the area, the people who contributed to it, and how it shaped the lives of people from Beara in the Irish diaspora
